The Park Place Apartment, represented by Paso Robles Vacation Rentals, impressed us from the moment we opened the code-keyed door and stepped in to our little "New Year's Retreat." We savored every minute of our vacation in Paso and the apartment set the tone for our week. The things most important to us were proximity to shops and restaurants - CHECK; a high-quality, not-too-soft mattress - CHECK; lots of natural light - CHECK; niches/cabinets to store our clothes and groceries - CHECK; a new, not "oldy-moldy" bathroom - CHECK; a sense of privacy and retreat - CHECK; easy parking - CHECK.. Bonus features included a welcoming and helpful agent/concierge, an impressive media set-up (but we only watched one DVD), and a nicely-appointed kitchen (which we used primarily for breakfast/brunch, though the plates and bowls were handy for sorting our jigsaw puzzle!). Our only regrets were that it was too cold outside to enjoy the deck and table, and that the single-pane windows let in street noise, which on New Year's Eve and weekends was more than one would expect for laid-back Paso. We still slept like logs. Bottom line is we will be back!
