Pine Hill House is a beautiful 1921 Craftsman home, located right near the center of town. Spacious, yet still cozy, it has been recently renovated, but still has plenty of the original touches that make it a classic. From here, it is only about a 15 minute walk to downtown Port Angeles, the Victoria ferry, restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and the marina.
Downstairs is a living room with a wood burning stove, a large dining room with seating for 10, a full kitchen with everything you'll need to prepare and serve fantastic meals, a small bathroom with shower, and a TV/entertainment room with a DVD player and surround sound (this room can also be set up with an aerobed and used as a bedroom for anyone who has trouble with stairs). In the fenced back yard you can barbecue or grab a book from the bookshelf and just relax. Pick fresh organic herbs from the garden year-round, and you may even get fresh pears, berries, cherries, or apricots in season.
Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms and a newly renovated bathroom with a large original claw-foot tub and separate shower. The north bedroom has a queen-sized bed and peek-a-boo views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Victoria. The middle bedroom has one queen-sized bed and one full-sized bed, with a TV and DVD player. The south bedroom has a queen-sized bed, fold out full futon, and spectacular views of Hurricane Ridge.
There is easy access to Hwy 101 from the neighborhood which will take you to Lake Crescent, Sol Duc falls and hot springs, ocean beaches, Forks, and the Hoh Rainforest. It's also a short drive to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park where you can get amazing views of the Olympic mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Pine Hill House is a 1921 Craftsman style house that was our home for eight years. When it became necessary to move for a new job, we decided we loved the house too much to sell, so we’ve made it a vacation rental to share with others and allow us to still visit it ourselves.
Posting this email from a lovely group celebrating a special occasion, in order to share the wonderful recommendations of local businesses:
Everyone was thrilled with the house--it was exactly what we were hoping for and worked out perfectly!
Thank you for all your help and I can HIGHLY recommend Raindrop Bakery, as well as the Jasmine Bistro (across from the Red Lion). Our cake was fabulous and the food at the Thai place delicious and really well-priced. We had a great time!
We had a lovely stay here during the Paint The Peninsula event in Port Angeles. Just over a week and by the end of our stay it was hard to leave. Felt like home! The house is extremely roomy and comfortable and well appointed with amenities. I especially admired the old style of this original craftsman home and the architecture. They don't make them like this anymore! Obviously someone really did a great job restoring this classic! And it was a treat to experience it. Would I rent this place again? Yes, definitely. Everything was nicely prepared and went very smoothly. And the location is extremely convenient to everything in Port Angeles. Great place for a vacation. So much to see and experience. I look forward to returning.
We just returned from our 4 night stay and loved the charming, vintage feel of this wonderfully restored craftsman home. It was in a friendly little neighborhood with plenty of amenities we enjoyed. The kitchen was generously stocked with all the paper products, pots, pans and spices to accommodate most cooks on vacation. We ate in 2 nights and found the Safeway very convenient. The bathrooms were stocked with shampoo and conditioner and body wash and plenty of towels. As a note, there is only 1 bathroom upstairs for all 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs. We were all family so it was a nonissue for us. The cool early morning and evening breezes allowed us Floridians to enjoy the cozy pot belly fireplace on 2 occasions. The owners had it perfectly supplied and ready for use. We we ambitious travelers and visited Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, Forks, Merrymore Falls, Ruby Beach and the Hoh Rain forest while there. Although we drove a lot, the weather was gorgeous and the scenery breathtaking and this home was only a few blocks from Hwy 101 to access the National Park. We highly recommend the ferry to the stunningly beautiful city of Victoria, it was very convenient to park our car for $6 and be a "foot passenger " for the day. The neighbor across the street provided us some helpful tips and trivia about the home and we appreciated his insight. We even picked a few fresh blackberries from the garden to add to our fresh peach cobbler. It was extremely convenient to use the washer and dryer with provided detergent after all the hiking and sightseeing we did! What a delight to stay at this lovely home.
I stayed here for 8 nights with my boyfriend and two adult sons. The home was very welcoming and spacious. It was very close to town and all of the things we needed-groceries, restaurants and ferry access. It was also a great place to start out for each of our adventures-Hurricane Ridge, Obstruction Point, Rialto Beach, Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc and Merrymare Falls, and our hike up Mount Storm King.
We also were able to easily reach local wineries and lavender farms.
The home was well stocked with all wee needed in the kitchen. It was also nice to find other basics that are not always provided-dish soap, hand soap, kleenex, tp, etc.
If we ever return to Port Angeles we will definitely check on the availability of this home
The four of us, my husband, brother, sister and I, used this house as our base while exploring the Olympic National Park. The house was clean, quaint and very well equiped. The neighborhood was very quiet and the town provided ample places for eating. Loved the heated bathroom floor! We enjoyed watching TV in the cozy den after active days of exploring and hiking. The house was older, but very nicely renovated. It was just as was shown in the listing- no surprises! Owner provided acurate and easy to follow directions.
Would definitely recommend this house!
Our family met at this home and spent eight days. We had a wonderful time and all of us enjoyed staying in your home. Great location. Close to downtown. Beautiful area. The home was very comfortable and we all enjoyed our stay. We would definitely want to stay in this home again.
This home was absolutely perfect for a getaway for my husband and I. The home was located close to everything we wanted to do. It was spotlessly clean and well prepped for guests. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful time in Port Angeles. We will be back for sure!
