A quick stroll from Tropical Daze Villa will bring you to several restaurants or to popular nightspots. Lower Bay beach boosts a long stretch of pure white sand and crystal clear water, this beach is excellent for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking. While on Bequia, taxis are widely used for getting around and the island has a unique fleet of open-backed taxis where the operators are known for their courtesy and friendliness.
Hiring a vehicle allows you to explore at your own pace and visitor permits are easily obtained at the Revenue Office.
Visitors are often surprised that on an island that is only seven square miles, there is such an abundance of natural beauty. While exploring whether by taxi, hired car or on foot, there is a visual feast to be discovered around every corner. Port Elizabeth, the main town, is built along the water front of Admiralty Bay and into the hills surrounding it.
Bequia has enormous appeal to any visitor yet the island remains relatively untouched.
