Brittas Bay is a super spot:it's location allows for an easy day trip to Dublin, as it is a straighforward drive to get into the city centre of Dublin or, the car can be left at a Luas station and picked up on the return journey home. Equally if attractions in a more southerly direction are what you want, Brittas bay is a good base from which to move to / from. If, during the winter you want a 'hideaway' where you can have fantastic solitary wintery walks on the beach & then return to the cosy house - this is an ideal spot!

This seaside resort enjoys a choice of beaches with one particularly long wonderful beach ideal for swimming and long walks. There are several excellent golf courses nearby as well as wonderful scenery with the 'Garden of Ireland' also within easy reach. It is an ideal winter hideaway - if you want to pack a bag, fill the car with books and alternate your days with long walks and lots of books by the stove! Wicklow town is 10 minutes drive away with tourist attraction such as Wicklow Gaol aswell as an indoor childrens gamezone. There are numerous walks closeby aswell as the beach which is a lovely walk -especially on a wild windy day.
