Beautiful, spacious home

Three couples of us from Texas stayed at the Pixie Place after a Transatlantic Cruise last April. We were so pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. There was plenty of room for all 3 couples, albeit two of the bedrooms were a little small, but ample. The master was great!! Just be aware that there are a substantial amount of stairs in and outside of the house. If you don't have knee problems, they are fine. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked. There is a nice television (although being from the U.S., we usually have televisions in our bedrooms, which we missed.) If you are not afraid of driving on the left side of the street (which we were), it would have been very nice to have had a car. However, the taxi service is very prompt and quite reasonable. Numerous times, we walked about a mile to the main road to a small store and a wonderful Italian Restaurant. Our favorite place to eat was walking distance (about 1-1/2 miles) on the trail across the river and lock to the main street. It has great food and very reasonably priced. If you are visiting Windsor for the first time, I would highly recommend the grocery store in town unless you have a car. We found it to be very convenient getting to London by train, and then upon your return, you can catch a taxi right outside the train station to return to Pixie Place. Also, I can't say enough nice things about the owners and the couple who manage the Pixie Place for them. They are ALL so nice and helpful. They are there to please their guests -- and believe me, they do!! If I ever return to this area, I would definitely stay at Pixie Place if it is available. I like the area much better than the "rat race" of London. We enjoyed the swans on the river right in back of the house!

Owner's Response: We are happy that our guests from the USA have enjoyed their stay at Pixie Place and would like to come back again. We have put a new large second LCD TV with over hundred channels, in the master bedroom. The houses in England might be smaller than those in Texas but Pixie Place is in excess of 3000 sq feet which is above average in Europe. Pixie Place is elevated from the ground for better view of the river and the surrounding area. We welcome our guests from all over the world and assure them the very best of service
