Originating from the 14th century the Manoir des Chalands is famous for having astonishing private gardens on the edge of the Loire, Brittany and the River Villaine. The Manoir des Chalands even has its own spa and is rare treat for those who enjoy pure relaxation and style. The Manoir and Gaurdian house can sleep a maximum of 20 guests, 18 if you're in couples, and 20 plus if there are children in the group. The welcoming owners live on site in private quarters and are on hand only if help is required. The Manoir des Chalands is ideal for parties, anniversaries, weddings, clay pigeon shoots, marvellous banquets, world class suppers, and the best wines to accompany. Stay for any a day, weekend or longer. The famous gardens at the Manoir des Chalands was designed but a leading landscaped gardener to the Queen, Alan Manson.

With crisp white linen, feather pillows, bathrobes and high-class toiletries, you will be sure to feel pampered, relaxed and sleep well. The main centre of activity is the salon. As with most rooms in Manoir des Chalands this features massive beams and stone fireplace, as well as stunning views over the Rose Garden. Steps lead on to the terrace which overlooks the formal lawns and lake. The ‘salle-à-manger' is now how it would have been in the 15th century with exposed stone walls. There is also a kitchen on the ground floor however catering can be provided. The Romanesque heated spa pool is situated in the centre of the barn buildings. Seating at least 12, this hand crafted mosaic construction is unique in France.

Guests of the Manoir des Chalands have privileged free access to the gardens. The grounds of this castles are secure and safe and not close to any main road making it an ideal place for children. There is plenty of outside space with several gardens waiting to be explored. Sports on offer include badminton, boules, and croquet as well as fishing and rafting and fishing in the nearby lake.
