|Property type||chateau / country house|
When you come home to Judy’s Guest House you’ll want to take a short walk across the wooden bridge to your own private little island with a babbling brook on either side. Take a picnic lunch or your morning coffee and relax while listening to the birds sing, or watch for the occasional deer to stop by for a drink while you relax in the shade of the majestic willows. On warm summer nights thousands of fireflies light up the trees and bushes.
The three bedrooms are designed for comfortable sleeping with two king beds and one single bed. The fully furnished kitchen is prepared for anything from a four course dinner to a late night snack, and a trip along the Finger Lakes Wine Trail will likely lead to ideal accompaniment.
While summer is beautiful in the Finger Lakes, fall and winter have their own special advantages. Fall colors can be spectacular and there are tons of local events - apple festivals, special new wine tastings, harvest festivals, football games, concerts and a chance to hike the local trails in a little less heat.

Judy allowed me to celebrate my 26th Birthday at her adorable cottage and it worked out wonderfully! I couldn't of asked for a better location to spend time with Family and Friends. She was very accommodative
and helpful and I will be contacting her again in the future :)
We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Judy's guest house! The house was just as described, the gardens beautiful and serene, a wonderful retreat from our busy graduation days! Judy was very helpful right from the start and answered my emails promptly. She had a great restaurant recommendation as well, putting the icing on the cake. All in all a wonderful experience for this very special occasion (Cornell graduation)... would highly recommend... thanks Judy! :)
The property was well maintained and everything was prepared when we arrived. Even the walkway was salted due to previous ice. The water has a faint iron smell (not sulfur) but not enough to be a bother. We used the kitchen to cook some of our meals and found everything we needed. Plus the guidebook provided was helpful for nearby food and things to do. Overall, our stay was greatly enjoyed!
We really enjoyed our stay at Judys Guest House! In the five days we were there, we visited Ithaca many times, many wineries, and three of the state parks. The house was clean, it pretty much already had everything we needed, though we did bring foil, paper supplies, etc. I don't know when we would plan on returning to the finger lake area, but we would return to this rental for sure. The price cannot be beat, the money you save on the rental, can just go towards wine purchases :)
Family from MA & PA came together at Judy's Guest House for our niece's wedding in Trumansburg. The house was perfectly located between Ithaca and Trumansburg, with short drives to the parks, restaurants, shopping and our niece's house. Judy was extremely accommodating and worked with me during the reservation process to ensure that the house was exactly what we needed for the number of people we had. And it was perfect! It was just the right size for us, including our 4 legged family member. She LOVED staying there too. If you are looking for a grand rental with over the top amenities and over the top price, this is not for you. This is an affordable cozy landing for families and pets, where you can relax and spend quality time with the ones you love. Thank you again Judy for your hospitality.
Perfect for touring the area - a great central location. Watkins Glen - 30 minutes Dean's Cove Fishing Launch - 20 minutes Cayuga Wine Trail - 15 minutes Ithaca - 15 minutes Very easy driving. Direct TV is great for a rainy day or catching the news in the morning. Easy parking if you have an RV, trailer or boat. Very clean inside with plenty of towels. Not upscale or luxurious just plain comfortable. The nice yard cannot be beat. This cabin has a Weber Gas Grill and a small covered patio that is ideal. Judy is a wonderful hostess & very thoughtful. We will be coming back!
There are too many attractions here to list them all. Hiking, sailing, biking, golfing and a trip along the Finger Lakes Wine Trail are favorites for many people. This is a mecca for antique hunters, and anyone with an interest in classical architecture should drive through the nearby Village of Trumansburg with its many historic houses. There are many State Parks in the area, and most of them have glorious waterfalls, hiking trails and many scenic gorges. The Art Trail runs directly past the house and during the open tours it’s a wonderful way to view local artists at work. The Museum of the Earth and the Science Museum are favorites of kids of all ages. Cornell Lab of Ornithology is worth a visit and the entire area is great for bird watching.
There are several live theater groups and great music opportunities for any sort of music you can imagine. Great local restaurants for just about any cuisine you can imagine.
