The area is well-known for the vast quantities of salt that it produces, which makes the climate one of the best in Europe. The area is also a haven for wildlife, and the National Park at La Mata is well worth a visit. This new first floor apartment has been furnished to a high standard, air conditioned, and is ideally situated to provide the best in family enjoyment and golfing holidays, or simply relaxing around the pool or on a local beach. It comfortably sleeps 5 people and is only a 5 minute stroll to the delightful Villamartin Plaza where you will find a wide range of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops and banks. . The area is famous for its beaches. La Zenia, Cabor Roig, Campoamor and Torre de la Horadada are only a 5 minute drive away and have long stretches of soft white sand and a sparkling clear Mediterranean Sea.

Location: There are a host of beaches in this area, some quiet, some busy, and all with Blue Flags. The nearest is at La Zenia, a short drive away, and in July, August and the 1st week of September, a shuttle bus runs all day from Villamartin to the beach and back. There are many other beaches within a short distance Cabor Roig, Campoamor and Torre de la Horadada with various watersports and other activities. The nearest town, Torrevieja, is a mere 10-15 minute drive away, and retains its Spanish feel. Here you will find an abundance of restaurants and bars for your enjoyment. There is an evening craft market most evenings which stretches along the promenade, with a fair in the summer months. There is also an aquapark - a firm favourite with the Children! Torrevieja means 'Old Tower' in Spanish. Once a traditional Spanish fishing village, the recent redevelopment of the esplanade and the port area has proved to be a great tourist attraction.

Activities: Other local activities include go-karting, diving, swimming, tennis, cycling, fishing, and horse riding. There are also two theme parks to the north of Alicante - Terra Natura and Mundomar and close by a water park and bowls club.

Golf: For the golf enthusiast why not try a different course each day! Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor with its superb Clubhouse are only 5 minutes drive. Many more top courses are within 15-45 minutes.
