The Chateau has been lovingly restored and refurbished to provide luxury accommodation for your holiday.The village has a small shop, post office and restaurant. Nearest Airport: Bergerac at 60 Kilometres
The chateau is walking distance to the village with restaurant, shop and bar. It is 45 minutes from Bergerac Airport and 1.5 hours from Bordeaux Airport. The lot et garonne is a beautiful peaceful region of France. The land is farmed and famous for the growing of plum trees and the production of prunes. Fresh, locally grown produce is available from the farm shop or from the local weekly markets. During the summer the village comes alive with the Thursday evening market, an enjoyable evening of dancing, music and enjoying the delicious local produce.The Chateau is on the banks of the lovely river lot, which is excellent for fishing and canoeing.The area around the chateau is ideal for cycling and there are many small bastide towns to explore. The pretty village of Fongrave is just a 5 minute walk from the Chateau. With only 900 occupants the village is traditional and un-spoilt. There is a post office,church and a small shop which stocks the daily necessities along with fresh bread.
