Stable Corner is a stunning conversion set on the upper story of a stone barn in the extensive grounds of a larger property with its own private garden.It is comfortable and cosy with central heating and a woodburner, making it ideal for year round breaks.

The house has plenty of outside space for sitting around relaxing with a book or sending the kids to let off steam!

It has 4 bedrooms, including 2 doubles making it perfect for families. There are plenty of board games, books and puzzles, something to suit all tastes as well as a widescreen TV, DVD,video and WiFi internet, if the weather is unreliable.

Well behaved pets are welcome.

Bedlinen is provided along with tea towels and hand towels.

We have a large private garden which is safe for small children and secure for pets.This is surrounded by the private grounds of the Woolston estate.

we have access to a communal tennis court open all year and a Heated outdoor pool which is available June to Mid Sept.

Stable Corner is contained within the upper storey of a converted barn. It stands within the grounds of Woolston House, a Georgian mansion which was built c1800 replacing a house that had been on that site since the 1600s

The heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court are situated in the original walled kitchen garden, which is an amazing suntrap!

The area immediately adjacent to Woolston is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The historic market town of Kingsbridge has the nearest supermarket. Those seeking an active holiday the premier beaches of Bantham and Bigbury are a short drive.These beautiful sandy beaches are popular for surfing, kite surfing and wind surfing. From Bigbury, when the tide is out, it is a short walk across the sands to Burgh Island , site of the incredible Art Deco Hotel and setting for Agatha Christie's 'Evil under the Sun'.

To the north lies Dartmoor,with access to spectacular scenery and endless leisure and sporting opportunities

Compact, well equipped kitchen. Outside has a spacious decked area with a large hardwood table and seating for 8 with a garden umbrella. Large secure garden area laid to lawn. Close to the house on the gravel driveway is a large external utility and games room. This contains a washing machine tumble dryer and larger freezer as well as a dartboard, vintage table football and ample storage for hanging wetsuits and boards. There is a wide selection of kids and adult wetsuits provided for guest to use. We have parking space for 3 cars. The tennis court is available all year round, the heated pool (open JUNE JULY AUG and Early SEPT)

RELAXING HOLIDAY SPOT

We spent the last week of the school summer holidays here and were very lucky with the weather. The children loved the tennis court and outdoor pool and the garden was great to relax in, a real suntrap to enjoy a sundowner. Our dog Bonnie was able to wander in and out freely as the garden is completely dog proof! The barn was great, everything we needed was provided, even wetsuits and crabbing buckets!

All in all a great break and in a lovely spot, very relaxing and peaceful but not far away from all the beaches.

fantastic holiday let in Devon

I should preface this review by stating I could have had a free holiday in my holiday home in Dorset but as we wanted accomodation for 2 families and a change of scenery, we opted to fork out and pay for somehwere different. I stayed in this barn conversion last week with my family (2 adults, 2 kids) and some friends (2 more adults, 2 more kids!) - it housed all 8 of us comfortably. When we arrived, we were quite taken aback by a number of things. The standout benefits of this cottage are as follows:
1. Shed with table football, buckets and spades, crab lines, washing machine, tumble dryer, dartboard etc. Very handy!
2. the views are gorgeous - spent one night at dusk watching a buzzard sit in a tree waiting for the rabbits to come out! Stunning.
3. the living area is spacious and made to feel home from home - dvd, digital tv, plenty of books, videos, games, and dvds for those rainy nights in
4. kitchen with dishwasher! Plus a wood burner for chilly nights.
5. 2 bathrooms ideal for 2 families
6. wonderfully comfortable memory foam mattress - I slept better away than I normally do at home!
7. digital radio - I love radio 6, so digital radio was a godsend
8. in summary this is a well decorated, very clean, and extremely well equipped cottage.

Given the facilties (I have never been on holiday where accomodation has dishwasher etc.!) this is a fantastic holiday let.
Couple with that, the beautiful building (a converted barn), the quiet location, the views etc... this is simply the best holiday in England I have had in years. I prefaced this review by stating I could have had a free holiday in an equally beautiful part of the country - Dorset - I made the right choice by paying good money to stay in this fine holiday cottage in Loddiswell. We will be going again I am sure.

I'd recommend this property unreservedly. The house is spacious, beautifully furnished with a great open living/dining area. There is also a lovely outside dining are with BBQ which we used on the warmer evenings. It was in very good condition, clean and well maintained with all we needed in terms of utilities, entertainment etc. Outside the kids loved using the swimming pool and tennis court and playing in the garden. Tim couldn't have ben more helpful, providing additional information on things to do and dealing with the minor problems that did arise (toaster broke and replacement arrived next morning). Had a great week.

We had a very enjoyable holiday break, mid-February. The barn is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. We were able to get out and enjoy walks in the wonderful Devon landscape including Prawl Point and Dartmouth Castle, following directions in a book called 'Cream Tea Walks'! We ate like kings from the local Farm shop. Definitely want to come back again!

My family's had two wonderful holidays staying at Stable Corner. We're 5 plus a dog and we had lots more room than we needed, everything was thoughtfully provided and of a lovely standard - nice bed linen, brilliantly equipped kitchen, great TV, and all spotless. The location is fantastic and on each holiday we've been spoilt for choice for days out at the beach, seaside village and town, moors, or just very locally around Loddiswell and wonderful local walks. The owners had provided thoughtful local info and suggestions and contact details, and the instructions for working things and finding the property and the key were all great. I'd totally recommend Stable Corner as a wonderful place to stay.
