Private infinity swimming pool + additional outside Kitchen and BBQ, open tiled terraces with sun loungers, chairs and tables. The Villa is well positioned, 2 mins from Stilos village for daily provisions and to eat/drink at typical Greek tavernas. 10mins from Kalives and Almerida's wonderful sandy beaches and watersport activities. 30 mins from the beautiful Venetian harbour and town of Chania. Additional information about rental rates

  • Prices are for the property per week. 5% REDUCTION FOR 2 WEEKS STAY. Refundable deposit required. Payment can be made in euros or pounds & include electricity plus sheets/towels.
    Normal changeover days are Tuesdays alternatives can be made by arrangement.
    Welcome food pack on arrival.
    Phone or email us to discuss your requirements. When you are ready to go ahead, a 20% non returnable deposit secures your villa. The balance will be due 8 weeks prior to your departure. The rental price is for up to 6 people for the villa, not per person! To get your holiday off to a good start, a welcome pack is provided for your first breakfast with our compliments!
    Please enquire for special prices for long term winter lets.
  • Bookings normally run Tuesday to Tuesday, but other arrival days can be considered. Just ask! You are welcome at the villa from 4pm (this is to ensure the villa meets our high standards of house-keeping!) and 10am departures

Notes: 'Petra's' lovely kitchen is comprehensively fitted with all the necessary crockery/cutlery and cooking utensils, an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, juicer, toaster, cafetiere, kettle, iron and board. 'Petra' has a large, beautifully furnished, open plan lounge fireplace + dining area and kitchen. The lounge has satellite TV and video/DVD/CD player. The sofa and chairs are luxurious and comfortable. 2 sets of double doors lead to terraces with stunning views. For inside dining there is a lovely dining table with comfortable chairs, but we doubt you will ever eat inside in this wonderful climate! Outside dining is the norm and best!

The local area: 3min Drive into the village of Stylos are small shops for everyday provisions and local tavernas. The busier beachfront and village of Kalives (10mins away) the nearest 'largest' town has chemist, bakery, veg shops (which also sell the local red and white village wines!), banks, post office, numerous tavernas and cafes, mini-markets and two small beaches. Vamos - Health Centre, Tavernas and ATM. Chania (30 mins away) - (a bustling Venetian harbour) - Scuba diving, boat trips, water slide park, Saturday morning market, banks and much, much more. Chania, once the capital of ancient Crete, offers quaint, narrow streets as well as a beautiful harbour lined with tavernas and cafes serving excellent local cuisine. Further afield, a water park at Limnoupolis, the biggest karting track in Crete, opportunities for boat trips from the harbour at Chania and historical sights such as the World War 2 Allied and German cemeteries. For those who enjoy walking a visit to the Samaria Gorge is recommend

Outside: 'Petra' has its own large infinity 1.6m deep swimming pool. There is a shallow end of 1m depth (Children must be supervised at all times). A poolside shower is fitted. Sun loungers, tables and chairs are provided for use on the balconies, terraces and pool area. There is a large outside covered Kitchen and BBQ, ideal for the 'chef' of your family. Villa Petra is an ideal location it really does feel like you are 'living with the Greek Gods'

What a fantastic place to stay! Close enough to the local villages to be able to get your daily supplies and perhaps go out for a meal in the evening (not that you need to - you have everything at the villa to be able to lock yourself away for a whole week if you want to!), and far enough away to feel secluded in a home from home. I felt that I had my very own luxury home in a gorgeous location with amazing views! Thank you for great holiday memories at villa Petra - I would love to come back again!

Beautiful villa in a wonderful location - the views are lovely. The only problem, we felt, was you couldn't walk to any tavernas or restaurants, so it was a little out of the way. The drive is very steep so be aware when driving up or down with a loaded car.

We have stayed in lots of Villas but this has been the best. It was really superb. Excellent location, excellent views .... excellent Villa, excellent value ! The views are memorable, over magnificent countryside to the bay of Souda and a backdrop of the stunning white mountains. The website doeasnt do it justice.
John and Christine the owners, provided us with lots of information about the area before we arrived and answered all our questions. They were really helpful, even providing really clear directions with photographs from the airport to the Villa. You will need a car (they also help you with this) There are so many places to visit. Local villages are a must,. We tried all the tavernas for eating in Stilos.(3mins away) All were slightly different yet so typically Cretan delights ! Locals are so friendly. Kalives Village and blue flag beach is only 10mins drive away.
Even in two weeks we didnt explore as much as we should. The attraction of 'chilling out' in such wonderful relaxing surroundings, around the pool, patios and balconies and in such a well equiped and comfortable Villa was like being in paradise. Thankyou for a perfect holiday.
