Armacao de Pera has the longest beach in the Algarve stretching over 5 km and is golden sand and has sun loungers and parasols for hire for only a small charge. Algarve shopping is the largest shopping mall in the area with over 100 shops and bars restaurants and is open until 10.00 pm every day and has a free bus service.
Then there is the famous Zoo Marine with its interactive dolphins and water slides and wildlife shows. The village of Pera has a sand festival every year with different themes and artists from all over the world take part.The festival starts in June and ends in October entry is 7 Euro and closes at 10.00 pm .The festival of the sardine takes place in august with beach BBQ cooking the sardine fresh. The marina of Albufeira offers daily boat trips and is only 10 minutes away you can cruise the coast or go fishing or dolphin watching. The closest golf course is only a 10 minute drive and is spectacular and runs next to the coast and you get discounted rates.
