We are two professors who divide our time between living in PV and in our home in Olympia WA. We have been in PV full time for the past few years and are just putting this back into rental availability. We love to host people who will love our home as we do and enjoy introducing you to the best vendors and boat, fishing and restaurants both on and off the beaten path. Because we live here you will find a home that is organized and designed for ease and comfort. Two fridges hold the fresh shrimp and fish you can buy just 3 blocks away at the large open air market; and the outdoor patio is where we spend our time. We can walk to the beach or spend 5 minutes driving. If there's nothing on HBO, there are cinemas close by, a walk to Pitillal for tacos or tamales or a quick taxi to gourmet restaurants. We have every kitchen amenity and when you make a mess, our generous and caring maid Juana helps you clean-up if requested. In short this is our retirement home, furnished with indigenous art and lots of easy chairs and sofas; it is fully tiled and clean, clean, clean. Finally because we are health oriented, we have a massage table and a wonderful licensed therapist who can provide in home therapeutic bodywork as well as a great personal trainer at a fully- equipped local club with weights, yoga and spinning. We have created a house that has the most important features for traveling; very high quality comfortable beds and quiet, wifi and an entertainment and business center. We use no toxic cleaning fluids, and provide soft cotton sheets and towels to ensure comfort and ease. A large lovely pool for laps and soaking or outdoor grilling is just a block away.

I am a professor and a psychologist and my husband is a professor in International Relations. I have lived in and around PV for over 30 years. We have both been Fulbright scholars in Mexico and love this country and have many books and magazines about the region.
Leslie Korn purchased this house in 2007
This is our retirement home. Central to everything the city has to offer . It is an easy 5-10 minutes to the beaches, 7 minutes to the mall, sushi and cinemas, 20 minutes to downtown, 20 minutes to Bucerias and 30 minutes to Nuevo Vallarta.
It is quiet and comfortable, in this gated community of 80% working professionals. I walk at midnight under the moon and palms. It is 10 minutes to Pitillal and fresh tamales and coconut atole with dancing in the square in Saturday nights. You have the best of all worlds here and access to old and new Mexico.
5-star all around! The hosts were incredibly helpful before, during, and even after our stay. There were no issues to resolve, really, but when I mentioned a somewhat slow internet connection, literally, the next day we had the brand new ISP and the cable all installed. Not that we had too much time to watch TV:) Great place, great owners, great memories. Highly recommend to anyone and definitely coming back for more! Thank you, Leslie!
We had a delightful time at Casa Tumi during our 30 day stay there. We started out with just the two of us. There was certainly more than enough space for us, with a very adequate and clean kitchen and dining area. When we were joined by another couple we had invited we still had plenty of room. We also managed to host a third couple for a part of our stay without feeling particularly cramped. We really enjoyed being a part of the Las Moras community, and felt very secure there. The shared pool, a short walk away, is a wonderful facility where we were able to relate to other vacationers as well as local residents. We were happy to be away from a busy street, and found the home to be a quiet place to relax in spite of the fact that the quiet was sometimes interrupted by the sound of dogs barking. The owner was very prompt in responding to our emails, and provided answers to our questions.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home in Las Moras. This was our first adventure in renting a home from VRBO and it turned out wonderful. The home is comfortable and quiet nestled in a very secure neighborhood. Although it was just my wife and I this trip, the home is set up for a family and we hope to visit again with some of our family. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and pool and often ventured out to the local Aramana Market to purchase fresh fruit, seafood or meal at one of the local food stands. We were not disappointed in any aspect of our trip. We were able to walk or use the bus or taxi system to get anywhere we wanted to go. We found that we did a lot of walking and always felt safe. We quickly learned how to navigate the bus system. At 6.5 pesos you could go anywhere in town. We felt that we saw a lot more of Puerto Vallarta staying here than we would have if we had stayed in a hotel. We appreciated having wifi so we could send pictures home and keep track of work.
We love staying at this beautiful home in the Las Moras community in Puerto Vallarta. Each year, it seems, there are more and more amenities at the home and in the area. We feel absolutely secure here. Children play, even leaving their bicycles and toys unlocked outside. Everyone is very friendly. The common areas are superbly cared for and the pool is divine. "Tranquilo" is the Spanish word that comes to mind. We always slept with windows open and noise was never an issue. We've stayed for two weeks in the past but next year hope to come for a month. The home itself is completely comfortable, with plenty of living space inside and out. The location is excellent. We didn't rent a car this time but walked easily to the local market and bigger grocery stores. The recommendations for "in home massage" and the fitness centre turned out to be a perfect match for us. Local busses or a cab quickly got us to the centre of town or out to one of the other towns. We always had plenty to do, great places to eat, and lots of time to relax. This year we had some work to do. Sitting outside on the patio, fully wirelessly connected, led to some terrific photos to send home to the rainy Pacific Northwest, with titles like, "excellent working conditions." Oh and then there's the ocean. Ahhhhh. Can't wait to return.
This property is set on dozens of acres within the city with lovely garden walking paths which ensure security, quiet yet being centrally located. This is an ideal setting for a family visit or a place for friends and is central to both tourist activities but also cultural settings and 'old' Mexico. We have lived in this city for over 30 years and the location is perfect for every type of activity, yet quiet oasis to come home to..
