BURGHÄUSCHEN

The moated castle is in Unsleben, a 900-resident village, between Bad Neustadt/ Saale and Mellrichstadt. It is located peacefully on the edge of the city, yet just a few minutes on foot from all shops (Schlecker, village stores, baker, butcher, bank, doctor, pharmacy, dentist) in the village. Once you leave the castle courtyard, you will find nature. Long hiking paths on the Streu River or over the hills of the Rhone invite you to short or long excursions on foot or by bicycle. The beautiful golf course Maria Bildhausen on the monastery premises in Münnerstadt attracts golf lovers (15 min. drive away)! Slopes and ski lift are about a 20 minute drive away (for example, Wasserkuppe, Arnsber lifts, Zuckerfeld). The private castle garden invites you to rest and relax in a green environment. Historic walls surround an old family owned property, which is looking for families.

Golf: The beautiful golf course Maria Bildhausen is a 10 minute drive from Münnerstadt. Golfers will find an 18-hole championship course and a 6-hole course in the soft hilly landscapes of the Rhone. The special thing about this course is that even here you can have the feeling of freedom while golfing even if 200 people are playing at the same time. The well-designed course – two circuits – makes this possible. The golf course is the only golf course owned and located on the premises of a monastery!

Ski: A 20 minute drive away from Unsleben, you can reach the popular ski regions in the Rhone. This includes the Kreuzberg, the Wasserkuppe, Zuckerfeld, etc. In the skiing and snowing paradise Wasserkuppe you will also find excellent sledding conditions, even with a sledding lift. Unsleben itself has a small sledding slope, which allows for a lot of fun for both the young and the old.
