High House is set within spacious terraced gardens, offering plenty of shade from the mid-day sun and magnificent views of the sea, which is a mere 10-minute walk away. The infinity pool is approximately 10m long and for late season lets (Oct/Nov) it can be heated. There are comfortable sun beds, parasols and a covered, cushioned area to relax. The villa is finished to the highest standard and can comfortably accommodate 3 families (12 people) in 5/6 bedrooms. The super- king-size master bedroom with luxurious en-suite bathroom is magnificent, with a small terrace and French windows overlooking Kalamar bay. There are 2 further kingsize bedrooms, one with a balcony, a triple room with balcony and a twin. Downstairs is open-plan, with a spacious, split-level living area, large, well-stocked kitchen and utility. The downstairs study can also be used as a single bedroom.

Kalamar Bay is a peaceful, picturesque village, just around the corner from Kalkan. It's a 10 minute stroll from the villa to the sea and the popular Kalamar Beach Club, a blue-flag beach with scuba-diving, water-skiing, kayaks and there's also a friendly, well-run restaurant with stunning views, delicious food and excellent service.. It's a wonderful place to relax or play and if you don't feel like walking back to the villa at the end of the day, there's a complimentary taxi service. There are no shops in Kalamar Bay, but the few, up-market hotels on this bay offer all their services to non-residents, so you are never far away from a lovely restaurant or Turkish bath. It's a 20-minute walk into Kalkan, with all the shops, bars and restaurants it has to offer.

  • A welcome hamper is included in the price and airport transfers and car rentals can be organised for you.

  • The master bedroom suite is very spacious and truly spectacular. French windows in the bathroom and bedroom look out on to Kalamar Bay. What an amazing view to wake up to every morning! Bedrooms 2 and 4 also enjoy this view from their balconies. All the bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans and they are bright, airy and stylish, each one with a different feel. A small downstairs room with a single sofa bed can also be used as a bedroom. There is also a cot and a comfortable camp bed, which can fit in any of the bedrooms. The rental price of the villa includes a daily maid service, with a linen and towel change twice a week. The pool, and sun terrace is maintained on a daily basis.

Notes: High House is a comfortable, family villa, which has a warm and welcoming feel. It is very spacious, so people never feel on top of one another and there is lots to do: outside there's the pool and table tennis and lots of places to relax in and out of the sun. Indoors we have TV, DVD, i-pod dock, CD player, wireless broadband, lots of books and games and cool, comfortable areas to lounge.The telephone is useful for making local calls to taxis and restaurants and also takes incoming calls from home. Our comfortable outside dining terrace overlooks the pool and the sea beyond and the barbecue is a great focal point. With marble flooring inside and out and a pool that is 1.5m in the shallower end, families with very small children need to take great care. The 25 steps up from the road may well prove too much for elderly or infirm guests, especially at the height of summer. The pool can be heated in the autumn, but pool heating is not included in the rental cost.

My family and me have just returned from an excellent holiday at this wonderful villa. It lived up to all our expectations. There were 8 of us including my sons and partners, my daughter and her husband, and my wife and me. The villa is very spacious and we never felt cramped or in each others way. The management team are first class, from pool cleaning, bread and water delivery to the house cleaners themselves. There was nothing that was a bother to them. They work away in the background, but are never far away when required. All in all, a first class villa that made our holiday what it was.
