East End Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

If your idea of a perfect vacation is a secluded getaway with quick access to St. Thomas’ finest shopping, dining, and activities, this exquisite condo is your ultimate escape. Perched on one of the island’s most private hillsides, this condo provides a delightful experience and a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea and the neighboring US and British Virgin Islands.

Suite E4, which we affectionately call “The Little Starfish”, is a fully equipped condo with a king size bed, full kitchen, dining areas inside and out, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, daily maid service and, most importantly, a private wrap-around balcony with an incredible view. This beautiful condo is located within picturesque Point Pleasant Resort at the bottom of the hillside in the row of houses closest to the water. The condo is located on the ground floor allowing easy access when carrying luggage, groceries or tired little ones. The location of the condo takes full advantage of the continuous breeze from the east. Open both sets of sliding glass doors to let the breeze relax you or lounge on the wrap-around balcony and enjoy the soothing sounds of the ocean, just a few yards below. Toast in your vacation Caribbean style with the complimentary rum and coke that awaits you in the suite.

Located on the East End of St. Thomas, Point Pleasant Resort and this thoroughly renovated condo, have the finest amenities in the Virgin Islands. There are three pools in the resort, all boasting stunning views. The resort’s nature trail gives you a taste of the charming local wildlife, culminating at a private gazebo with a 270 degree view of the surrounding Virgin Islands set against the clear sapphire waters. From the suite it is a short walk to Sugar Beach, Pineapple Beach, Coki Beach and Coral World Aquarium.

Point Pleasant offers all that the we enjoy about vacationing – a secluded hideaway with quick access to all that the Virgin Islands have to offer. The resort is close to activities such as boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, golfing, shopping and dining; all while offering a haven from the hustle and bustle that accompanies a tourist destination. Point Pleasant Resort is five minutes from Red Hook which boasts premier dining/shopping, and the ferry to St. John and other neighboring islands.

Come to St. Thomas and experience life at the relaxed pace of the Caribbean.

My husband and I are natives of South Carolina. We are both active members of our community and church, and proud parents of our beautiful daughter, born in 2005. Our daughter was born with Mosaic Down Syndrome; because of this, we are also very active in the special needs community and busy participants for fundraisers and awareness. We love to vacation and when we happened upon Point Pleasant in St. Thomas, USVI we knew we had found a gem and wanted to invest.

Esther Dennis purchased this condo in 2010

We chose Suite E4 of Point Pleasant resort because of its ideal location and amazing view. It is located within Point Pleasant Resort at the bottom of the hillside in the row of houses closest to the water. The suite is located on the ground floor allowing easy access when carrying luggage, groceries or tired little ones. My favorite part of the Little Starfish is the private balcony, which offers a stunning 180 degree view of the Caribbean Sea and neighboring Virgin Islands. Our daughter’s favorite part about our condo is that our suite is only a half mile walk along the beach to Coral World Ocean Park, her favorite thing to do in St. Thomas. Point Pleasant offers all that the we enjoy about vacationing – a secluded hideaway with quick access to all that the Virgin Islands have to offer. Point Pleasant Resort is close to activities such as boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, golfing, shopping and dining; all while offering a haven from the hustle and bustle that accompanies a tourist destination. Come to St. Thomas and experience life at the relaxed pace of the Caribbean. We know you will want to make this a regular vacation spot, just like we did. We hope that you enjoy the suite (E4) as much as we do!

Wonderful trip and unit!

We stayed at The Little Starfish, Point Pleasant March 31-April 7 and enjoyed everyday we were there. The views of the balcony were amazing, it was so relaxing to sit out there each day and read or enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The unit is clean, has an updated bathroom and kitchen, a large king size bed and a pull out sofa. We utilized the kitchen almost everyday, but did eat out at Panga's, the restaurant on site two times, Island Time Pub (in Red Hook), one time and Off the Grid, the food truck twice. I definitely recommend renting a car when staying at this resort, there really isn't much within walking distance and having the car made it very easy to get around (there is a shuttle, but we did not use it). We did walk to Coki beach 2 of the days we were there, which was a beautiful beach, with vendors for food and drink. We packed a cooler and brought our own, but our son did have a smoothie from one of the vendors and it was delicious. We did a sailing and snorkeling tour one day on the Freebird, which was enjoyable for everyone except our 8 year old, who got sea sick, and spent one day fishing and snorkeling with Captain Rick from Swashbucklin tours, who we highly recommend. There are 3 pools at the resort, but we only visited 2 of them, we mainly used the pool near our unit, which is the one by Panga's. The nice thing about that spot is that Panga's has wifi, so we were all able to use our devices, if we wanted to. Otherwise you have to use the wifi in the lobby, which is a decent walk up and down hill. The owners were wonderful to work with, everyone at the resort was very friendly and we would definitely go back and stay in this unit again!

Anniversary Trip

I stayed at Point Pleasant four years ago while attending a wedding, so was familiar with the property. Thought it would be a perfect destination for our second wedding anniversary. We had been to St. Thomas many times for port calls from cruise ships, but my husband had never stayed on the island before. We found the condo to be exactly as portrayed in the photographs, and the views from the balcony were even better than in the photos. The unit was immaculately clean and neat, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dinnerware and utensils. It even had a tiny dishwasher and a convection microwave. We shopped for groceries at the Marina Market in Red Hook for breakfast and light lunches at the condo. Be prepared - groceries are not cheap on St. Thomas - but it was still the way to go for us. We ate on our balcony each morning, watching the iguanas that sunned themselves in the trees below. They are not aggressive - just ugly and fun to watch! We weren't up to driving on the "wrong" side of the road, so taxied everywhere we went. The most expensive was $11 each plus $1 per bag from the airport. It was $10 each to Charlotte Amalie, and $5 each to Red Hook where you catch the ferry to St. John. Be sure to do that. It's $6 each for a one-way ticket and the ferry runs hourly. While on St. John, be sure to go to Mongoose Junction - an upscale shopping area with a nice assortment of restaurants. The evening of our anniversary, we had a wonderful casual seafood dinner in Red Hook at Fish Tails. The portions were generous and delicious. We had hoped to eat at Agave, the on-site fine dining restaurant at Point Pleasant, but found it was no longer open. We had several casual meals at the waterside restaurant (Jack's). Back to the condo - it was very well maintained, the view was breathtaking. These condos are built into the side of a mountain, but the property provides shuttle service from your unit to the front desk if you're not up to the walk. In the unit were an assortment of DVDs, some games, magazines, cards, and two "noodles" for the pool (there are 3 pools). Because our baggage was overweight flying in ($100 upcharge), we opted to leave behind two sets of snorkles, fins and masks for the next guests to enjoy. A short walk from the unit is Sugar Beach - a secluded beach with 5 chaise lounges. You wouldn't think so, but there was a lot to see in the seaweed when we snorkeled there. Would definitely recommend the condo.

2nd Wedding Anniversary

Four years ago (before my husband and I married) I stayed at Point Pleasant with family and friends while attending my grandson's wedding, so I was familiar with the property, but not the specific unit. My husband had not seen the property so I was anxious to get his opinion. From the moment we checked in at the office overlooking the beautiful water, he was sold - and even more so when he saw what a lovely condo the "little starfish" was. The view from the wraparound porch was stunning and there was nothing we could have wanted that wasn't included in the amenities. For those expecting fine dining at the Agave restaurant, it should be noted it is no longer open, but the casual waterside cafe (Jack's) has a diverse menu for those who choose to eat on property. We stopped in Red Hook at the Marina Market (bring your wallet) and bought some basics for breakfast and light lunches (bacon, eggs, bread, orange juice, milk, lettuce, tomatoes and a pack of lunch meat) and were really glad we had packed some non-perishables such as coffee, sugar, condiment packets, etc. Groceries are quite expensive on the island. As for the condo, it was immaculately clean and neat. The kitchen was fully stocked insofar as cookware, utensils and dishes, and the bathroom was clean and neat. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. There was a small selection of DVDs, some games, a deck of cards, and a couple of "noodles" for the pool (there are three pools - very well maintained). Because we were overweight on our luggage, we left 2 snokels, fins and masks to add to the recreational collection. At breakfast, we sat on the balcony overlooking the treetops and watched the iguanas sunning themselves. They are not aggressive in the least, and they provide relaxing entertainment. Since returning home, I have reviewed the photos and description of the property, and everything is just as you see it in the photos. For those not renting a car, we took taxis for the duration of our trip. The most expensive one was from the airport to the condo and that was $11 each plus $1 per bag. It was $10 each into Charlotte Amalie and $5 each into Red Hook. For $6 each one-way you can take the ferry from Red Hook to St. John - don't miss that trip, and try to find Mongoose Junction - an upscale shopping complex with many interesting restaurants. We would definitely recommend this unit. You won't be disappointed. In Red Hook, have dinner at Fish Tails. It's by the ferry terminal.

Thanks so much for sharing a piece of your paradise! The charming condo was all that we could ask for...nestled with just enough privacy and a breathtaking view of the beautiful carribean sea. The condo was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the linens were delivered everyday. The staff was very accommodating and we enjoyed the restaurant/bar (Jack's) located downstairs near the water. We cooked and ate breakfast every morning as we watched the sunrise over the sea and settled in with coconuts and mangos in the evening for the sunset! It was absolutely beautiful and such a relaxing vacation. Great Place, Great Location and a Great Vacation! We had a wonderful time and would go back again anytime!!

It was my first time to St. Thomas and I was very impressed with the condo that we stayed in. It was very clean, updated and the staff were excellent in bringing us towels and such. The condo has beautiful views and great breezes. The location was very convenient to restaurants and shopping and we all felt very safe there.

I will definitely go back and stay there again. 5 stars!!!!
