This gîte, sleeping up to 6 or 8 people, was built in a typical old vosgian farmhouse. It features an authentic baker's oven, and an old water well. The owners, Jean et Monique, are always ready to help you get the oven going and give you tips for cooking the famous 'paté lorrain' and other delicious local specialities. Monique, with her mountain guiding licence, is qualified to lead you on a hike in the surrounding countryside -depending on your inclination, and of course, free of charge. Ground floor: Cosy little sitting room, well equipped kitchen, spacious dining room, WC and hand basin, washing machine and ironing equipment and a vast open area with table tennis. First floor: 3 very pleasant bedrooms-each with its particular character, one bathroom with a shower and a seperate toilet. The front of the house looks out on to the main village road but the vast grounds at the back, with garden and orchard give direct access to the surrounding countryside. Terrace with barbecue.

Rural gîte set in the countryside, in a little village of 150 inhabitants, between the plains and mountains of the Vosges area. Situated in the heart of Europe, between Luxemburg and Germany, between Champagne and Alsace, between Nancy and Epinal. Nearby, you will be able to visit the town of Mirecourt, famous for its violins and lace, an ancient brewery with its beer museum and Epinal with its picture/printing museum, the spa centres of Vittel, Contrexeville and Plombières (which each have their own casino). If you enjoy nature rambles and exploring different landscapes, take the road to the Sion Hill and travel through acres of mirabelle (sweet, juicy little yellow plums) orchards, or, take the road to Darney with its endless forest trails. A little further afield you can visit the city of Nancy, know for its impressive Stanislas' Square and its bergamote sweets. Domremy which hosts Joan of Arc's birth place, the Vosges mountains and why not, the Alsace area.
