Palm Jumeirah - need a car.

Received no information or directions on how to find to building and the address came up with conflicting locations in internet mapping sites. Luckily I google mapped a route from the airport and used the verbal instructions provided over the phone by the local contact. A map with directions would have been a great help, especially as the Dubai road signs are appalling.
The property is not on the beach but only a short walk (10mins) albeit across a 6 lane highway. The rear, where the balconies are, overlooks other apartments (still under construction) and the monorail - not very attractive. We collected the keys from the security guy and never saw the Dubai contact despite calling him on the phone and requesting a visit. The property was very spacious with 3 bathrooms and 4 toilets but the standard of fittings was only average. The master suite shower head was broken and the main bath, they we ended up showering in, leaked across the floor.
That said the apartment was clean, tidy and airy.
Ate in most nights as shopping and cooking was easy AND we could drink beer and wine bought at the airport duty free.
Dubai itself is very Las Vegas so ok if you like that sort of thing. I like to explore and much preferred the old part of town around the creek and the smaller towns in the desert and the mountains.
If you want to sit on the beach all day and watch the builders you will enjoy this place. Otherwise unless you have a car it is not very well situated.
Owner's Response: 1/ finding the palm is so easy all you do is follow the signs for jumeriah and you will see the signs for the palm,also if the clinet had chosen are free airport service to the apt then hired a car when they got there no problem, the beach is opp the apt 6min walk ive timed it and if you dont want to walk a golf buggy comes every 10 min and will take you , the shower head if clients dont let us know how can we fix it even when we seen this client off they didnt tell us,this apt does not have the best view in the world but value wise you cant beat the quality,and where ever you go in dubai for the next 2 years you will see acrane from any hotel and apt,dubai is nothing like las vagas,and you dont have to hire a car as taxis are the cheapest ive ever come across,some times you cant please everyone but we try are best
