Luxury villa, fully renovated, located in world-renowned Casa de Campo golf and beach resort.

Four bedrooms, two with double beds, two with two full beds, all with en suite bathrooms, air conditioning and TVs.

Huge living room, brand new kitchen with window opening into dining area of living room and onto pool terrace.

Maid's quarters.

Large terrace with private pool and jacuzzi, surrounded by lush tropical garden.

Five minutes from the beach in golf carts which are included in the rental.

A maid comes to the villa every morning to make breakfast and clean. She stays until 3h30.

The resort includes three famous golf courses, tennis courts, a beautiful beach, a yacht marina, a teen club, facilities for horse-back riding and polo, skeet shooting, a health spa, hairdresser and various boutiques. There is also a wide choice of restaurants in the resort, and meals can be catered to the villa. Nearby is the medieval-style artists' village called Altos de Chavon.

La Romana is on the south coast of the Dominican Republic, half way between the capital, Santo Domingo, and Punta Cana, at the eastern tip. It's about an hour and a half drive both from Santo Domingo and from Punta Cana. There are direct flights to La Romana from Miami, and flights to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo from London, Madrid and Paris.

Casa de Campo is a gated community on the beach, a ten-minute drive from La Romana. Besides the activities inside the resort, there is adventure go-carting in the area, and shops and restaurants in La Romana. Within an hour or two's drive, there is a spectacular cavern to visit, and a natural park with spectacular tropical flora and fauna, rafting, and adventure swinging through trees.

Other Activities: Polo, skeet shooting, health spa, teen club

Golf: The Casa de Campo resort includes three world-renowned golf courses, Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and Links, and is considered one of the best golf destinations in the Caribbean.

Some of the greens are directly on the ocean and views are stunning.

  • Security deposit of 50% required at time of reservation.
    Renters buy breakfast fixings in local grocery store so the maid can prepare breakfast every morning for the group, or this food can be ordered in advance of arrival and the amount added to the bill.

  • Every bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower. There is a hair dryer in each bathroom. There are no bathtubs but there is an outdoor jacuzzi right next to the pool, perfect for a romantic evening dip with glass of champagne in hand.

  • Each of the four bedrooms has a recently renovated en suite bathroom, air conditioning, spacious closets, a wall safe, a TV and an iPod player. Each room is decorated with a different theme. There are three bedrooms upstairs: The Fauna room has a jungle theme and a king-sized bed. The room includes his and her desk spaces with ample electrical outlets and wireless internet access. The Flora room contains a large double bed (queen) and is decorated with a flower theme. It has an enclosed balcony with a view over the lush and mature tropical garden. The Aves room has beautiful paintings of birds, and contains two double beds. It also has a mezzanine accessible with a ladder, and two additional mattresses for sleeping there. The room downstairs, called Populi, is decorated with colourful Haitian paintings of people. It is a spacious studio with two double beds, a fold-out sofa bed, and a kitchenette. This room has a separate entrance from outside.

Notes: The house is not particularly wheelchair accessible because there are steps leading up to the front door. However, for the elderly or infirm who are mobile, the studio bedroom downstairs is accessible without further stairs, and contains a mini-kitchen so the person does not have to walk to the main kitchen.
