About The Owner

We are a family of five who love the Colorado mountains! We grew up on the eastern slope of Colorado, but love all the western slope has to offer. Every summer we load the jeep as often as we can & hit the beautiful trails of the San Juan mountains; hiking & camping along the way. Our family goal is to summit all 54 Colorado fourteeners together. We completed our 1st last summer when our youngest turned 5.

We chose this location to offer family friendly, superior accommodations because it is our favorite place on earth! It is within short driving distance of Ouray, Telluride, Montrose, and Silverton. All quaint mountain towns offering much for travelers to enjoy. There are numerous hiking and jeeping trails easily accessible.

What makes this house unique

Cutler creek (seasonal) runs thru the property which is beautifully landscaped. Plenty of room for kids to run and play safely outside. This beautiful home and the unique area will entice you to come back for more.

Beautiful Fall Colors and Views!

We enjoyed a wonderful long-weekend stay in this spacious, clean, and beautifully remodeled home. The fall colors were at their peak and we had beautiful views from every window..enjoyed beginning each day reading on the deck with a steaming cup of coffee, pausing often to take in the views... We even had a dozen turkeys come passing through the yard each morning! The home had everything we needed for a wonderful stay and plenty of space for everyone. It's location is convenient to both Ouray and Ridgway..we were able to enjoy the Hot Springs Pool, take the Perimeter Trail around Ouray, enjoy wonderful food at both the Outlaw and the Cimarron Cafe..(and Mouse's Chocolate's is a must visit!!) We just wished we could have stayed a few more days!
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Gorgeous Fall Retreat

We are back home after enjoying your Colorado house for the week. It was a great experience and the house was well equipped, very comfortable, and had great views. The resident deer visited the yard several times. We loved photographing the aspens which were at their peak, and the first snow on the mountains -- gorgeous part of the country. the place was perfect for us- we ride dual purpose dirt bikes in the mountains around ouray... nice kitchen w icemaker was good for happy hour,... good big coffeemaker, and overall a real nice place.. the orvis hot spring, just a few miles north, also was handy and indispensable for our aches & pains. we`ll definitely be back..

Guest house on Cutler Creek is very nice

Our family stayed in the guest house for a lovely weekend gathering and had a wonderful time. The house is nicely furnished, clean and well-maintained, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out on the two floors. Lovely deck with views of the valley. Peaceful and quiet with deer, turkeys and hummingbirds about. Hiking right out side the door and within short drive. Close enough to town to hit our favorite restaurants and the hot springs. Love Mouse's ice cream!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Young Children

Great Memories!

Our two families had a great time staying in the guest house at Cutler Creek. The home has been recently updated and was clean. The large porch on the upper deck was wonderful to hang out on and enjoy the nice cool evenings in Colorado. The kids had a great time watching all the deer come up in the mornings and evenings around the house. The owner was always very responsive to any questions we had prior to, and during our visit. Thanks so much for helping us to create wonderful memories with friends and family!
