Sleeps 2-7, A peaceful location to enjoy the Tramuntana mountains.

The house is located above the pretty village square, with fantastic views of the Tramuntana mountains. It is distributed over 3 floors. The entrance hall/sitting room on the ground floor opens into the kitchen and dining area. On the first floor there is the master room, a single bedroom and a modern bathroom. Go up to the second floor for a twin bedroom and upstairs sitting room. A staircase leads from the sitting room up to the roof terrace. The property is ideal for a family, it can accommodate up to 7 by using the double sofabed in the upstairs sitting room. The property is accessible from the top of the central village car park with just a short walk along a pathway (mainly flat, but with one incline at the end), then 26 steps down and 26 steps up. Alternatively, it can be reached from the square on foot only (137 steps up ancient cobbles!).

Additional space: Please note that the house can be rented with an annex (20m away) to accommodate an extra 2/3 people (1 bedroom).

Fornalutx has been voted the prettiest village in Spain on several occasions. Situated in a valley of the Sierra Tramuntana mountains, it is surrounded by orange, lemon and olive groves set on Moorish stone terraces. The bustling town of Sóller with its famous antique tram offers a wider range of shops and restaurants. There is also the famous mountain train taking visitors through the mountains back to Palma. The area boasts a beautiful coastline, offering walkers and bikers endless opportunities. Walking routes are well marked and if required there are opportunities for joining walking groups - sometimes combined with boat trips. Bike hire is available in Sóller. Deia and Valdemossa are about 30 minutes away by car; Pollensa about an hour. The Port de Sóller has 2 pretty beaches with good facilities. There is a public swimming pool just outside Sóller.

Notes

  • Prices are for the property per week in euros. We are flexible on changeover date and length of stay (so would accommodate stays of, say 10 days).

    A deposit of 50% is required upon booking, and the balance is to be paid in full four weeks before the start of the rental period. A deposit of 100 euros payable in cash on arrival, returnable on departure, subject to deductions for any damage or breakages.

    For stays of less than one week, a laundry/cleaning charge will be made in addition to the rental.

    We are happy to be paid in sterling and the prevailing exchange rate on the date of booking would be used. Please contact us for details.

Outside The roof terrace allows you to enjoy the views and atmosphere at all times of the day, whether your preference is to enjoy the the morning or evening mountains as the sun comes up, or to bathe in the full sun. We are very high up and washing catches the slightest breeze, drying quickly. Young children should always be supervised on the roof terrace.

We stayed 3 people in this huge house for 5 nights. It is beatiful decorated, clean, with a wonderful view from the roof terrasse. Morning walks up in the orange and olives valley and then to the Local baker for bread. So beatiful.
Fornalutx is still autentic especially in the early morning and evening.
Fine communication to the owners.
Will definitely be back. Thank you!
