Notes: As any large city, Paris' streets are not free from filth and the owners have always maintained a no shoe policy inside the flat. This has kept the flat in pristine and good hygienic condition. Due to ramp and lift inside the building the flat is accessible to wheel chair users. The bath only has one hand grip so it may not be suitable to people requiring full handicap facilities. I liked this place so much, I came back!

I have finally recovered from the jet lag enough to write a rave review of this apartment!! Yes this is the second time I have stayed here this year. My last trip was in April 09 so please read my review for that time as well. I liked this apartment so much I had to stay here again. I don't think I can say enough of how much I enjoy staying here.

I love the location – less than 5 minute walk to metro lines 8 & 9 - a 5 minute walk to two grocery stores - 15 minute walk to The Louvre – a 15-20 minute walk (or take the Metro) to Gare du Nord - a Pharmacie across the street came in handy for my allergies. Did I mention the yummy Crepe stand you can see from the apartment window??!!
Bottom line – this apartment is in a central location!

Everything I needed was in the apartment - cooking utensils, washer/dryer, TV, wireless internet, a good spot to drink my wine and eat cheese!! Most of all….the owner, Roger, is the best! Roger is just a text or phone call away and is very helpful and flexible (check in/out times). The money transaction is easy and you don’t have to deal with wire transfers with extra charges.

The apartment is very well kept and clean, so what more could you ask for? I’m almost afraid to write good things about this apartment because I want to make sure no one rents this place next year when I come back!!

See you next year Roger! Thanks again. – Jennii

A gem in Paris

My daughter and I stayed for a week in June. We loved the apartment. It was clean well kept. Instead of a tiny hotel room, we had a spacious home away from home. The building was very secure and nice. There was a subway stop, grocery store and good restaurants close by. Very close to The Hard Rock Cafe. Several clubs are located on the street. It was fun to open the windows, to watch the people go by, and listen to the sounds of the city. However, the windows, when closed, kept the apartment very quiet. The owner was very easy to deal with. He took all the hassle out of renting. He answered any questions and sent very detailed instructions about the apartment to me ahead of time. We enjoyed meeting him and chatting with him. I would highly recommend this apartment. We would love to stay here again.

very comfortable flat near metro lines

It's a year later, but I remember my stay here well. Got caught in a freak storm that diverted my plane from CDG to Amsterdam, and I arrived in Paris many hours later by bus -- a long story. Roger was very kind; he called just as as I got in the door, and had fielded calls from my worried husband. I had a total of 2 weeks there, including a week with hubby l. The building is very secure, the apartment nicely laid out. The bathroom splendid, and Roger has rigged up a great way to dry clothes within the apt. (dryer was only ok as I recall). The broadband worked beautifully, and I was able to receive long-distance calls when I had troubles with my email, and local calls were free, which was terrific for restaurant reservations. I did come to do some work, and the desk is beautifully set up for that, with great illumination. We also appreicated the dishwasher. The flat's well served by metro lines, one of them under 3 minutes walk away (it was unusually cold during most of my visit so I was happy to flee underground). Fantastic bakery down the street, both good bread and fabulous pastries. And a very modestly priced French chain of southwestern food that was very good. My only complaint is that during my visit around 5am one Sunday morning, the bars emptied out and the street became very noisy. Must have been an unusual incident.

Very comfortable and cozy flat

There is little to add to previous reviews. We stayed in this flat for a week in January. The flat was extremely comfortable and cozy. It was well equipped, well maintained and very clean. The location was very convenient: close to shops, the metro and great restaurants. Although it was close to a major boulevard, it was quiet and we felt safe and secure. Roger was a terrific host – very prompt in his communication; he made all arrangements and payment very easy and provided wonderful recommendations for local food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It felt more like a stay with good friends than a business arrangement!

3 weeks more comfortable than at home

5 of 5
Submitted: December 14, 2010 Stayed: November 2010
I was there 3 weeks in November and felt really good there, entrance to the block is nice and with a lot of ligth making you feel secure straight away, the area I already knew and that´s why I chose it next to the metro with two lines, lots of restaurants, shops and anything you need and as others said you could almost walk anywhere in Paris thanks to its centrally location, lot of space inside the apartment, it is not a fancy decoration but exactly as in the photos so no surprises there and functional, with a very good distribution, despite being November and very cold outside inside was warm and cosy and you could put the heating on for a couple of hours before bedtime if needed, big work table for studying or working as I needed and telephone to receive international calls and not having to pay on your mobile for receiving them very convenient, communications with Roger were straight forward, and he was very flexible when asked to extend stay, a pleasure to deal with him all times and deal arranged in a very simple way, downsides? kettle but no coffee machine, and no toaster, but it was a very nice touch to have some basics in the kitchen for food instead of having to buy all essentials, also a big umbrella that came very handy with all the rain that there was during the whole month and a hair dryer. And lots of Paris guides and books on walks were great. Would I stay there again? Definetely. Would I recommend it to anybody? If you want the feel of a home , lots of books, some food, and owners personal items giving a sense of staying in a friends house with plenty of space to move around and to store with a right distribution with windows, and views to the street with hardly any noise with double glazing, and in a great location this is the place for you, if you care too much about the place looking brand new with very trendy decoration and the feel of being in a hotel with nothing personal around, then may be it is not.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed the stay. We often thought about having a coffee machine, but then, some prefer filtered, other capsules etc. etc. We are surrounded by great cafés that serve excellent coffee as we are in the heart of Paris. Nothing we could provide would ever be better than what's on offer next door. We look forward to your next visit and thanks for the very kind review
