Keauhou Condo Rental Photos and Description
Condo, 3 Bedrooms (inclds Loft/Office) 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8 without sofa beds!))
Expansive ocean views of Kona sunsets on the 18th tee of the Kona Country Club golf course (check their website for more info).
Two bedrooms and a loft (with 3 additional beds). Our Country Club Villas home (#329) is spacious and quiet. The lanai offers a panoramic view, a large dining table and a private BBQ. This 3rd floor unit is just one flight up, and steps away from reserved off-street private parking.
Spectacular ocean views from the living room, master bedroom, lanai and kitchen. Our condo sleeps 6-8 people comfortably, without the hassle of a sofabed in the living room. You have two bedrooms downstairs (master has Cal King, guest has Queen) & two full baths (upgraded showers in both; no tubs).
Up the spiral staircase the spacious loft has additional sleeping with two twins AND a foldout futon in the gaming nook (Flat screen TV, X-Box & various games provided, or bring your own). There's also a tri-fold futon mat available for use if you want a child downstairs, as well as a pack-and-play and gate if you need to keep toddlers off the stairs.
Great for a romantic getaway, two or three couples, and families with children. This complex is surprisingly quiet, and many guests find that they have a pool (there are 3) all to themselves - when they're not at the beach! While the adults relax on the lanai or in the living room with their own entertainment the kids may play upstairs with the games, a separate flat screen TV w/DVD player, and 3 beds. Ceiling fans throughout enhance the pleasant Kona breezes.
In addition to the three pools (each with jacuzzi and ocean views - one just steps from this unit's entrance), there are also two tennis courts for guest use. The property’s tropical landscaping is well maintained and quite inviting for morning and evening walks. (This area of Ali'i drive is very popular for jogging, biking & walking.)
You will find the kitchen fully equipped with stove, microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker/grinder, crock pot... and the list goes on! We have provided a complete selection of quality pots, pans and utensils for both kitchen cooking and the barbeque, as well as dishware for a crowd. Bar stools are at the kitchen counter and a comfortable dining area for the whole family is on the lanai.
Within the condo there are games to share and books to read. We provide your beach towels, a beach umbrella, beach & tote bags, a cooler (and blue ice), beach chairs, boogie boards & a large assortment of masks, fins and snorkel equipment. We hope to keep your luxury vacation on a family-friendly budget!
Dolphins, Humpback whales, Manta Rays, Turtles and much much more can be seen quite nearby. (During the winter whale watching season you may see the whales right from your lanai!) If any of your party are certified divers or you'd like our recommendation for great snorkel (free or with tours) experiences, please ask. The water underworld is one of Kona's greatest assets, and likely the best in the state. (A copy of The Big Island Revealed is in the condo for your perusal, as well as many books on local lore and history.)
Grab your sunscreen and head off to enjoy your slice of paradise! A short walk or very short drive to Keauhou Bay: (ocean tours, kayaks, SUP board rentals) and Kahalu'u Beach Park (the location of some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii - home to many sea turtles) Check out the comments for these locations online at Yelp!
The Keauhou Shopping Center (groceries, CVS/Long's, many restaurants - our favorite sushi AND pizza shops - coffee shop, cinema & shopping) is a five minute walk. (You’ll find guide brochures and printed material on activities and restaurants when you arrive at the condo. Also check out the Keauhou Honu Express shuttle for more family transportation options.)
Wi-fi, broadband internet, cable & phone are of course included. Please, no pets or smoking allowed in unit. (Smoking is OK only in the designated outside area, near the entrance.)

About Cyndy DeMeter
Pat and Cyndy own Horseplay Equestrian Center, LLC - just a few miles south of the condo. Pat is an equine veterinarian and a Big Island resident since 1998. Cyndy moved to Kona in 1979, where she raised a family and has owned several businesses. She currently owns & manages Horseplay, boarding horses and teaching English riding.
Cyndy DeMeter purchased this condo in 2012
Why Cyndy DeMeter chose Keauhou
The Keauhou resort district offers some of the best access to ocean activities in Hawaii AND a quiet, private location. We have the pools, golf course, easy access to Keauhou Bay, Kahaluu Beach Park, Magic Sands (& more!) but never feel like we're in a densely populated resort area. It's GREAT!
The third floor enhances both the views and the tropical breezes, making it comfortable all year.
What makes this condo unique
We enjoy playing, cooking and dining with family. This property has it all: wear the kids and grand kids out at the beach and return to BBQ on your own lanai. End the day with family games (provided), reading or a movie (50' flat screen in the living room - multiplex cinema within walking distance).
We never tire of swimming with the turtles and snorkeling at nearby Kahalu'u Beach. In our diverse island adventures our children (and grandchildren!) have learned the importance of protecting the reef and marine wildlife, so important to us all.
Guestbook comments from the owner
We had 12 days at this great condo for our family's end-of-summer vacation. With 3 teenagers, one of the bonuses was that when the adults wanted to relax & just enjoy the view and great lanai the kids could easily walk to Keauhou Bay: beach volleyball, ocean sport rentals, Stand Up Paddleboard, kayaks etc OR the shopping center (pizza, sushi, a great grocery store with all the interesting local foods as well as a deli). The hosts provided LOTS of beach equipment: we never rented snorkels, fins, boogie boards, etc!
At the south end of Ali'i Drive (Kona's ocean front street) it's quick & easy access to the highway that circumferences the whole island. The little town of Kainaliu (just 4 miles south) is quite fun for a shopping stroll and has some cute restaurants - plus live theater which we heard was quite good but didn't have the opportunity to attend. The theater building is an historical landmark - over 75 years old we were told!)
Amenities in the condo were great: good quality cookware etc, and a lanai table quite comfortable for our large group. (Actually there were a lot of kitchen "extras" we were surprised to find, having rented condos in other locations.)
The large flatscreen TV in the living area didn't get used a lot (because the activities, views and conversation kept us occupied), but some evenings the kids enjoyed the loft XBox and second flatscreen TV, without intruding on our peace & quiet below.
The whole experience was great for our family, and we recommend it highly!
