See the moonlight imprint evanescent shadows of oaks onto natures canvas. Ponder a stroll to the ocean. Walk to town for coffee, shopping, Art Gallery strolling, exquisite cuisine,or simply stay in and unwind. Walk out the back door a few steps to the Mission Trails for a Gorgeous Nature Hike. If you are looking to clear your mind, this is the place to do it!
The house and setting is beautiful. We had the the most awesome time staying at this house, and cannot wait to come back. If you like walking it's a delight and refreshing.
This house is a real jewel. It is located at the edge of the mission trail. A great walking loop is down the trail to the Mission, then Santa Lucia to Scenic Rd into town. The house was clean, modern and spacious. Parking is about 100 yes away on the street unless you park on a steep slope in front of the garage- but it was no problem. The patios are big and private, looking over the woods. The house was better than described, making my first rental through VRBO a success. i highly recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful home, well suited to our needs. On arrival parking appeared to be interesting, as the allocated parking space was on a fairly steep slope, but providing you follow the instructions to reverse in, this was fairly easy to master. The pictures accurately portray the property. We enjoyed sitting in the garden for lunch, especially when it was sunny. Easy short walk to the local shops and restaurants. The property backs on to the Mission Trail, which is a great place for hiking. We would highly recommend this property, and if we return to Carmel, would definitely stay here again.
The good: This home is nestled beautifully into a tree filled ravine with lots of great patio space. The home was nice & clean. We loved the 3 bedroom/3 bathroom layout for our group. The bad: The home didn't feel that welcoming to us. Notes were left to remove shoes and not let our luggage hit the walls (we always use care with the homes we rent, just seeing these little notes made us not feel very welcome). The biggest challenge was getting in and out of the home, via car. The home sits at the bottom of a very steep, crooked street with cars parked along the side. The only way to get a vehicle down the street is to back down, and leave your car outside of the garage (there is no driveway). These logistics made it very difficult to unload/load, with one vehicle let alone multiple.
Very nice home with a large secluded backyard. Very relaxing to come to. Driveway is steep & is hard to back up so I recommend to park on the street. Easy to walk to downtown Carmel by the Sea.
This is such a beautiful home with amazing patios and landscaping! Most of our time at the house was spent enjoying the outdoors. Spent Sunday morning enjoying the Mission Creek Trail. We saw two deer across the creek from the house. Quiet and secluded, but close enough to 101 to get us on our way to adventures. We enjoyed walking downtown and to the beach, plus we got a nice workout. We didn't want to leave this lovely house! Thanks so much for making our first VRBO fantastic!
We came for the Big Sur marathon. The location was perfect, close to everything we needed! The house was nice and the grounds so beautiful and serene! We loved relaxing outside! The driveway is a bit steep but we were able to manage it. Also there are a lot of stairs but not a problem for us. This was so much better than a hotel!!
