Fully refurbished family villa set in dramatic cathar country. Situated in the quiet but vibrant village of La Bastide sur L`Hers, which boasts it's own village swimming pool and Tennis courts, plus numerous events throughout the year, including it's own gastronomic market every Thursday evening during the summer. The villa is ideally situated to explore the numerous Cathar castles. It nestles close to Carcassonne, Toulouse, Narbonne, Foix, Andorra and Montsegur. It is very easy to cross over into Spain with trips to Barcelona a possibility. The villa will comfortably sleep 4-6. There is a family bathroom, plus a cloakroom. Fully fitted modern kitchen, washing machine,T.V./DVD(with English sky package). A full table tennis table,outdoor games, plus board games for quiet evenings in. The garden becomes part of family living, with terrace, cafe table, large picnic bench and space to play and enjoy the weather in the spacious garden. An open fire adds warmth and heart.

A splendid location of outstanding beauty. Perfect for enjoying the Pyrenees. Ideal for walking, skiing and enjoying the outdoors. Mont D'olme is a perfect family skiing base. With many larger resorts near by for advanced and adventurous( Andorra 1 hr) Full of history, with many castles, ruins, caves (Niaux with original cave paintings). Montsegur, famous as a Cathar stronghold is 15 mins away. Natural hot springs to be enjoyed and assist with health are accessible at Ax le Thermes, plus superb ski-ing. Lac Montbel is 5 mins drive away, with man-made beach, pedalos, sailing, fishing,canoeing and horse riding. Mirepoix and the many charming Medieval towns host an array of events and markets to charm and entertain. For city entertainment try Toulouse, Carcassonne,Narbonne and those willing to travel, Barcelona! Wild life is plentiful, especially birds and boar hunting is a local pass time. Food is hearty and unique, featured on Rick Steins French Odyssey. Wine is also plentiful!
