My partner and i were lucky enough to be the first guests in the beautiful new Mongolian yurt (for 2), with its separate terrace kitchen and bathroom. We loved every minute of our stay and can honestly say it exceeded our expectations. The yurt, with its big feather bed, concrete floor (ie no mud), stayed cozy, cool and comfortable. It was just wonderful to fall asleep after cooking outside, under the ancient oaks with the bats flying over head and the roof of the yurt open to the stars. The tiny village of Covas is beautiful with a really well-stocked store and a number of small, traditional cafes as well as fields of sunflowers and friendly residents. The area itself is one we know and love already with its mountain roads and unspoilt coast, easy driving, fortress towns, market days and proximity to Galicia. The family who own this lovely place are friendly and welcoming, happy to bring freshly laid eggs and allow us to steal their dogs for a while. The pool is shared and this is fun. I remember the moments of paradise just finding myself alone, in the pool in the sunshine surrounded by roses at the top of this lovely mountain place.
