We live and work in the Los Angeles area and have enjoyed bringing our children and our dogs here for the past 25 years. As a family we love all of the outdoor activities this area has to offer, especially hiking, biking, white water rafting, and kayaking.
We spent our honeymoon here 26 years ago, and purchased our first piece of property. Camping here when our kids were babies is one of our favorite memories. We grew to love the beauty of the area. There is so much opportunity for all kinds of outdoor activities, and plenty of time left for relaxation. We always wanted a place right on the river. We purchased this cabin almost 7 years ago and have completely renovated the property and structure. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. This property is just a 3 hour drive from the Los Angeles area and 45 minutes from Bakersfield.
The obvious benefit to this property is its location. It offers the amazing sound and view of the river, with the backdrop of beautiful mountains. You will be able to access many activities just by walking outside. Bring your swim suit, fishing pole, book, and cooler and spend the day at the beach that is just steps out the back door. Drive 3 miles into town, walk around the antique shops, and grab a bite to eat at one of several restaurants. One of our favorite things to do is take the dogs for a hike each morning on one of many hiking trails.
