When visiting Nashville you don't want to miss out on the best bedroom community in the area. This is where the stars live and hang out and the movies are filmed. Just a short scenic 20-30 min. drive south of Nashville via I65 or scenic Hwy 431. Stay in Historic Downtown Franklin. This is where the The Battle of Franklin the 'most significant battle in the Civil War' took place. Take the walking tour to see the homes that stood the test of time and still have bullet holes from the war. Enjoy the Festivals and Parades. Walk to main street, restaurants, shops, pubs, wine bars, boutiques, the park, Civil War museums, live theater, the newly renovated movie theater on Main Street and many other places. After visiting the Big City of Nashville, retreat to the Urban vibe in downtown Franklin. This inviting historic cottage has just been renovated and redecorated for your enjoyment. Split bedrooms, one on each side of the living room. The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, window seat and a private full bath. The secondary bedroom has two twin beds and the living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. There is a second bathroom conveniently located with a corner shower. Each bedroom has it's own tv with dvd as well as the living room. Relax on the inviting front porch and swing your worries away. The dining room is located in the sunroom off of the kitchen. There is a back deck for entertaining with bbq. You can't beat the location and fun in Franklin and convenience to Nashville, Opryland and the airport.

About The Owner

We came to the area in 1999 with a quick year in Oregon and a lifetime in Arizona. Our first visit here felt like home. We traded the dry, hot heat, scorpions and dry river beds for beautiful scenery, great weather, wonderful friends and neighbors, lakes and streams with water everywhere, a little humidity, and occasional ticks and chiggers! We enjoy traveling via VRBO and are thankful there are people who enjoy sharing their homes as well.

Can't beat the location and charm of this bedroom community of Nashville. 20 min. to the fun and big city and 30 min. to the airport. Ability to enjoy all of the area that Middle Tennessee has to offer and then come back to a historic cottage to relax and enjoy.

Walk to everything needed and the fun of the downtown. Enjoy all the antiquing you could want and the best food around. Enjoy the benefits of the huge facitility at the Williamson County Recreation Center just up the road at a great price while visiting. Swimming, fitness classes and equipment, tennis and more. 5 convenient YMCA locations close by for members.

My sisters and I used this cottage on Mother’s Day weekend! The owner’s were very helpful, offering lists of restaurants and attractions. It was so clean and comfortable (looked just like the pictures), was easy to find and had everything we needed. We were greeted by music, one of us ate all the candy, and even the extra umbrellas were useful! We thoroughly appreciated that we could easily walk to the antique stores down the street and to the Main Street Franklin area. Friday’s festival was a plus. And lot’s of good restaurants in Franklin! We tried Mellow Mushroom, McCreary’s, Meridee’s Breadbasket…….Sweet CiCi’s ice cream was good and the food and entertainment at Puckett’s on Saturday night was fantastic! We toured Ryman’s and the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville and the Carnton Plantation in Franklin. Then we ran out of time so, we just might have to return. Wonderful place to stay!! I recommend it highly!

Adorable! Such a cute home..decor is very neat. House is clean, beds are very comfy, and everything you could want is there. Owners were great to work with. Location is great, close to downtown Franklin. You will not regret renting this place. No worries here, we Loved it!

Great home away from home.

Our visit to Nashville was to see some hockey and we decided to stay outside the city. This cottage was the perfect place to be out of the rate race. We were able to get downtown in about 20 minutes. The cottage was much more than we expected. It was spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The attention to detail made us feel at home. When we arrived there were some treats on the table and music was playing in the living room. There was also a note from Patti and Bill welcoming us. Would highly recommend!!!!

Our stay was all we hoped it would be. We had no way to really know, except the reviews we read whether this property was as nice as it appeared to be. It was! Warmly decorated, clean, bright, well appointed and the kitchen had everything and more that we needed. There was no picture of the master bathroom, so I was concerned that it might not be updated. It was lovely, with a large walk-in closet where we could tuck away all our clothes and suitcases. We loved our walking life, the proximity to downtown was perfect. Franklin is a lovely town with much to offer. Thanks again for answering all our questions and opening up your lovely cottage to us.

Thank you so much Patti and Bill for sharing your cottage with us! It was even more charming than in the pictures. We had everything we needed from cooking utensils to comfy beds. We appreciated the tips you sent on places to visit in Franklin and enjoyed the fact that we could walk to many of them. This cottage and it's owners are a treasure and we are looking forward to renting again in the future.
