This was a wonderful little cottage, and I use the term little lightly as it was really quite roomy, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is an older style cottage which for us was its biggest charm, yet it had everything we needed. It was beautifully maintained and convenient to everything. Situated on the canal, we were able to fish and crab right from the backdoor. Though we didnt use them, the owner thoughtfully provided canoes too, as well as a selection of movies that got us through the one rainy day we had. The owner was wonderful in communicating back and forth with me. Sadly, I had a death in the family the week before we were scheduled to leave, and my plans were up in the air. Ultimately we did not have to change our plans, but Ann was so kind and understanding. Ocracoke itself is a charming little town. We had possibly the best seafood dinner we'd ever had at the Atlantic Cafe - and coming from Charleston, we are used to good local seafood. Atlantic was outstanding. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay on Ocracoke. The price was reasonable, the accommodations excellent, and it provides what you need, whether that be a place of peace and respite, or a place to grab a bite and a nap between all the other activities you can do nearby.
