Nice condo needs better management

The property is of first-class construction and was sparkling clean. The private pool was convenient and refreshing. However, some obvious items were not provided: No towels racks or even hooks to hang towels, wet swimsuits, etc. Dinnerware was incomplete - no teaspoons or sharp kitchen knives. There was a garbage can but no wastebaskets. The only outdoor furniture consisted of two chaises, not enough for a two-bedroom suite supposedly accommodating four persons. The one TV set was unaccountably installed in the smaller bedroom and it did not work for half of our ten-day stay because the satellite bill had not been paid. When TV service was finally turned on, after many broken promises, we found that the owner had paid for only Thai programming. The water was cut off for several hours on two days and no electricity for part of a third day. The "beautiful beach," like many in Pattaya, was littered with plastic bags and other junk, even in the sea. But on that beach is a fine restaurant, Cabbages & Condoms, located in a beautiful resort that is well worth a visit. (Why "Condoms"? The resort's owner, a famous figure in Thailand, supports family planning.) For shopping you'll need a car, motorbike, or taxi (150 baht each way). In sum, it was a pretty nice stay but could have been a lot nicer with a little attention from the owner, who lives in another country. The condo management was helpful, but the owner definitely needs to take more responsibility.
Owner's Response: Holiday- Rentals only exists because..owners live in other Countries...and often owners have to rely on the Management on Site. In this case the owner had paid for the full tv package and all is working again. The many Guests who have happily rented previously have not put tv at the top of their tourist agenda, rather they have enjoyed the private pool and the Large Communual pool with on site retaurant. Many play the numerous local golf courses or explore the brand new shopping centers and local stores with bargains galore. Pattaya Tower is a firm favourite just 5 minutes by car from the Majestic Residence and Nuak Nuak Gardens provides Elephant rides in a beautiful tropical setting, a complete day out only 30 minutes drive away. The whole world meets in a kalidascope of colour along Walking st,south Pattaya, the numerous restaurants, bars and clubs are an attraction for all ages..only a £2 taxi ride from the Bungalow! Pattaya can be the complete holiday experience, providing a multitude of happy memories in the land of Smiles.
