We've used VRBO 8 times to visit six different holiday destinations (four in the Caribbean).... And as we planned our next holiday we just couldn't believe Bob's description of their "Turtlefish Haven" .... or the outrageously complimentary reviews we read. But we couldn't resist calling and testing it. Bob's professional and personable manner in answering all our questions made it easier to take a chance that his assurances and description were accurate. So we went in this off season and are simply stunned.



This is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches ANYWHERE! And they ARE located at the very center of the entire beach. And we could walk to all the restaurants we needed, and the supermarket was an easy walk to get fresh baked pastries and coffee for breakfast and nibbles for the beach. at what they offer.



We love snorkeling and found you could enjoy just going offshore, but we ended up checking out different reefs every day... there can be no more beautiful water than off Seven Mile Beach!



The condo itself could not be more appealing or convenient. It is right on the ground floor, set back across the lawn from the beach about a hundred feet, which made it even better for us as we like the direct access to the beach while maintaining our privacy without having all the other beachgoers and walkers right on top of us. The open Caribbean flavor interior was delightfully soothing and tastefully decorated with 3 new flat screen TVs. Everything we needed was in the full kitchen and we didn't even miss the lack of granite counters.



The cell phones were so very convenient; we could even keep in contact with each other from the beach to the condo!



Bob and his wife were the most hospitable of hosts. They really went out of their way to inform us in advance and be available to us both by email and phone while we were there. And their housekeeper (Virginia) is both competent and accommodating with a personality to match. Thanks, Bob and Ann Marie.



Bottom line: Their Turtlefish Haven is SIMPLY PERFCT for a family vacation. We will return this coming year, and Turtlefish Haven is the only destination we want. And the SIX STAR review was spot on!

You can spend a ton of time researching where to stay and getting a "feel" for what places are like, comparing prices etc. OR -- you can trust me on this and go to Turtle Fish Haven. It's smack dab on the beach and easily accessible to everything. On top of that, Bob the owner sends a personal and comprehensive letter-guide that offers all sorts of information on how to do things and go places. The unit is fairly basic but it's very clean and has great kitchen stuff. The posted photos are exactly what you see when you arrive. You can walk to the grocery store 2 blocks away and save money by eating in. If you're hunting for a dive operator, check out Indigo Divers and EPIC Divers. Best restaurant experience was the Calypso Grill. Anyway, when you talk to Bob, it's like you're talking to your next door neighbor and he makes everything seem like a trip to the mailbox. Thanks for everything, Bob.

Two Great Places to Stay on Cayman

We've visited Grand Cayman for a few years now with our children and have stayed at TurtleFish Haven and Honeymoon Haven - both owned by Bob and AnnMarie. Both units are situated in the Villas of the Galleon with easy and close access to the beautiful and uncrowded private beachfront. TurtleFish Haven is private and on the ground floor with all the amenities you'll ever need for a great stay - washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, wifi, TVs (although we did not use them since we were always on the beach !), and comfortable beds. Honeymoon Haven is two stories (with all of the same amenities + a hot tub) with an upper loft bedroom that is just fantastic !! You can hear the ocean waves at night and the view down the beach from the balcony is terrific. We enjoy being next door to the Westin and partake of their outdoor restaurant, without the crowded beach since the beach at the Villas is for guest use only and is very quiet. The great long beach walks, wonderful food at so many different kinds of restaurants and the superb hospitality of Bob and AnnMarie make either TurtleFish or Honeymoon Havens THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY on Grand Cayman!

Spectacular - THE Best Place to Stay on Cayman!

We stayed in the “honeymoon haven” unit mid-March, 2015, and this is perfection in the Cayman Islands! This unit is perhaps THE best unit in this wonderful complex (closest to the beach), and the attention to detail by the owners make this perfection. The owners provide tons of information to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible, and the unit is equipped down to every detail. You have lots of windows to allow for a wonderful breeze through the unit if you prefer. It's a great combination of beach view and privacy. The private beach area has lots of lounge chairs to use and several umbrellas. The beautiful trees provide some shady spots. The complex is at a prime location on the fabulous 7 mile beach. There are plenty of really good restaurants and activities within walking distance. Grocery store is also within walking distance (and they let you take the carts home). You honestly get the best of everything staying here! We’ll be back to Cayman, and this is our first choice of place to stay!

Just Got Home, Ready to Go Back

This was our family's first visit to Grand Cayman. I am sure it will not be our last. Same can be said for the Villas of Galleon. TurtleFish Haven is a clean unit with all of the essentials in a great location. There was no detail forgotten - great entertainment/restaurant recommendations, island cell phone, TV/broadband/wifi, phones numbers to anyone you may need to contact during the stay, all appliances and soft goods, and A/C. Location in between Westin and Ritz provided close by water sport and spa options. Bob and AnnMarie - Thanks for being such great hosts and sharing your unit with our family.

Loved our stay!

We just returned from a very memorable week in the Cayman Islands and TurtleFish Haven. We had a fantastic time! We have two young children, 3 yrs and 9 months old and I am so happy we decided to stay in the Villas of Galleon.

We were lucky to meet the owners; AnnMarie and Bob when we arrived. Very nice couple which clearly loves the Caymans and their condos on 7MB. They provided us with all the information we needed prior to our trip and were extremely helpful with any additional questions and requests we had.

The condo is on the first floor and have a beautiful view towards the ocean and the beach. Our 3 year old daughter loved the beach and we did not miss having a pool for one second. The water is so calm and the beach is very deep and not crowded at all. We brought a little baby pool for the baby that we placed in the shade by the lounges and she was as happy as could be.

The apartment was big with two large bedrooms that were separated by a hallway. Plenty of storage in each room and bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the kitchen utensils you would ever need. There was also plenty of towels, dish towels and sheets provided. We had everything we needed.

We loved our experience with Turtlefish Haven and the VoG and would highly recommend it to anyone. It is SO much better than staying in a stuffy small hotel room, especially with two small children.

We hope to go back soon.

Deposit of US$500 - $1500 upon commitment, to be applied entirely to booking - by check or draft payable to our management company WPV. Half of remaining booking cost paid as per agreement 90-120 days before a arrival with final payment 60 days prior to arrival to include remaining half PLUS the DOT Hospitality Fee and any applicable damage and/or security deposit.
