Villa Aeneas is a brand new beautifully designed villa with three bedrooms, set in a wonderful hillside location with outstanding views of the east coast of Rhodes and surrounding countryside. Outside, the villa has a large terrace for alfresco dining with exceptional sea views. Steps lead down to the extensive garden & large pool area, equipped with all you need for relaxing in the sun. Inside, there is a light and airy open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, fully capable of accommodating six people whether it be for a formal dinner or relaxing by the open fireplace. A beautiful spiral marble staircase leads up to two bedrooms and a bathroom. A guest bedroom and shower room are downstairs. All the rooms in the house have been designed and furnished to make the most of outstanding views from the property, from the picture window in the master bedroom to the 270 degree views in the second bedroom to the sea views from all the downstairs rooms.

Gennadi is a very friendly traditional Greek village, which is open all year round. It has a a good selection of bars and tavernas and even a nightclub. There is a very well stocked supermarket as well as a bakery, greengrocer, pharmacy, post office and even a cashpoint. Car hire and other shops are also in the village as is the local bus stop (good for exploring the island). The local beach is a gently shelving wide bay of sand and pebbles dotted with a few tavernas specialising in fish dishes. Lindos is just a 15 minute drive away north. A 20 minute drive south takes you to Prasonissi, the renowned wind water sports beach with equipment hire. There is a golf course at Afandou, a 40 minute drive north. Historic Rhodes Old Town is around 1 hour drive north. Inland from Gennadi is some incredible scenery and some very quaint villages. The roads in Rhodes are generally well thought out and maintained making reaching any destination from Villa Aeneas quick, easy and above all relaxing.

This will be returned once the property has been inspected and is found in to be in good condition.

  • Good quality towels are provided. Bins are provided in both bathrooms for sanitary use but the drainage for the villa has been set-up to allow toilet paper to be flushed down the lavatory as per UK standards.

  • All bedrooms are furnished with good quality beds, bedside tables and built in wardrobes. Each bed is fitted with mattress and pillow protectors and comes with sheets and quality blankets. There is plenty of storage in both the built in wardrobes and bedside tables. All the windows are double glazed and have built in shutters and mosquito nets. There is an air conditioning unit with remote control. in each bedroom. Each person has their own bedside light (apart from the twin bedded room which shares one) and the two double bedded rooms have alarm clocks. The upstairs bedrooms have their own private balcony with furniture. The downstairs bedroom has direct access to the main terrace and has it's own furniture.

Notes: In order to provide UK standards of accommodation in a typically Greek setting we have taken the time to import furnishings from such names as IKEA and Marks & Spencer from both the UK and the Greek mainland. The spacious open plan living and kitchen area is light and airy with outstanding views from almost every angle. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything needed to cook snacks, family meals and so on. There is satellite system and CD/tape player provided for indoor recreation. Water is heated by solar panels. As this is our first year of renting the villa we are offering substantial discounts for the 2008 season.

Peace, quiet and privacy !

Villa Aeneas is about an hour's drive from the airport on the south eastern part of the island.
Being brand new it was very clean and comfortable. The three double bedrooms were well appointed with their own air con units and each had its own patio doors leading to its own private balcony or patio area.
There was a good pool and large pool and patio areas with plenty of outdoor furniture.
There was nothing extra we needed to buy by way of utensils etc as everything was provided.
The provisions that were left for our late evening arrival were especially appreciated as we didn't have to stock up before our arrival.
The villa's elevated location just outside the village of Gennadi is perfect for peace, quiet and privacy with magnificent views with only 1 other neighbouring villa occupied.
The English guys maintaining the pool and gardens were very helpful and friendly.
The lovely, unspoilt village of Gennadi only a 2 minute drive down the hill has all you would need with a well stocked small supermarket and a separate (and very cheap) greengrocer and an excellent bakery.
Gennadi is an ideal spot to drive to Lindos to the north or the spectacular Prassonisi on the southern tip with its sand bar separating the Aegean and the Med.

Wir haben schöne Wochen in Alans Villa (September 2009) verbracht. Die Beschreibung ist 100% zutreffend, lediglich ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: das Erdgeschoßbad ist sehr klein. Dafür gibt es täglich Sonnenuntergang und danach einen fantastischen Sternenhimmel. Kleine Tavernen im Dorf, direkt am Strand den besten Cappucino für 2 Euro, Liegen und Sonnenschirm für 5 Euro, Meer super und alles sehr sauber! Fazit:Haus prima, Umgebung gemütlich, Nebenkosten relativ günstig.

Beatiful, relaxing and quiet!

Villa Aeneas is in the quiet south eastern part of Rhodes. It is about one hour form airport and 2 minutes from the village of Gennadi (where there are an excellent bakery, excellent restaurants, a green grocer, a chemist, etc.). On the beach of Gennadi there are excellent fish restaurants at resonable prices open all day long.
Villa Aeneas is a lovely property, quiet and relaxing with a spectacular view. It is on the top of a hill with only another villa next to it.
The Villa is clean, well maintened and it has a good swimming pool which is cleaned regularly. The rooms have all air conditioning and a balcony. The villa is equipped with everything you need for cooking.
In the villa there are also DVDs, books, playing cards and dices (with a book with many card and dice games described), chess, etc.
We appreciated very much the food that we found upon our arrival (after 14 hours of travel you really are not in the mood of going out to buy food...)!
In addition, the owner is very helpful with anything you may need (taxi, rent a car, etc.).

We think that a car (or a motorbike) is necessary! We could not find a car at the airport (they were all booked as we came in high season) so book it in advance!

We had a wonderful time in villa Aeneas and we are looking forward to be back!!!
