House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-9)

Great newly remodeled lake front property on Lake Shafer. this home has 120 feet of lake front. great place to swim and dock your boat. Home has two large patios one with a outdoor fireplace and the other a great place for sun tanning. Both overlooking the lake. Imagine relaxing on the patio drinking your beverage and eating your favorite grilled masterpiece while watching the sun set in the distance over the lake.

Inside you have three nice size bedrooms two with queen beds and one with a king bed with its own bathroom. you also have a pull out couch that will sleep two nicely and an additional couch that is awesome to sleep on. there is also a love seat that a small child could sleep on also.

Family room has 42 in tv over the top of the fire place with a surround sound and dvd player.

Very nice full kitchen with all the items needed to cook the dinner of your choice also a gas grill just outside on the patio. diswasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker

About The Owner

I am a boating and water junky. I love to go to the lake and spend the day ski or tube. I work in retail so my time is very limited. I love having a place to take the family and do all of our favorite things.

The Owner purchased this house in 2007
Why The Owner chose Monticello - Indiana Beach

We bough this lake house with our large family in mind. this place has all that we could ever want out of a lake house and space for the kids to roam. we have been vacationing in this area for about the last 10 years. Its a great place to go with the family, Indiana Beach amusement park, water sports, dairy farms, go carts, golf, mini golf, fruit picking, winery, out door movies, fireworks during summer at the park what else could you ask for to have a great vacation.

What makes this house unique

Home located on the water. So if you get hot jump on in. Min. from Indiana Beach amusement park, boat and wave runner rentals can be accessed from the water or a short drive. Golf can also be accessed from the water.

More beautiful then we could have imagined

Wow. We were blown away by the whole experience and we all wished we lived here :) The house was immaculate, beautiful and well stocked!! I also fell in love with the bed in the master bedroom, sooooo comfy.We spent almost all our time down by the lake fishing and floating. The house is in a little nook of the lake which was PERFECT for floating in our tubes as there was no boat traffic to worry about. And the sunsets!!! Wow. It was our own little paradise and better than we could have imagined. We can not wait to go back!! Thank you SO much for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was a weekend we will not forget :)

Great place for family vacation

The house was a great home-base for our family's trip to Lake Shafer. The six of us (2 adults & 4 kids) were more than comfortable inside the house. Everything inside was new and well kept. The two decks in the back with the outdoor fireplace and the seawall were great for swimming and just hanging out. The usual tourist attractions of Indiana Beach and Lake Shafer/Lake Freeman were a short drive away. Our kids, ages 8-14, loved the place. We'll be back.

Great place!Very nice on inside!Back porch super for family cook outs.Our children ages 13 through 8 really enjoyed swimming off the sea wall.Home owners have thought of everything! I packed dish soap and toilet paper..not needed it was there!Caretakers live next door and are very helpful and welcoming.When we were there it was very hot, house was very comfortably air condition.Plenty of sleeping areas for kids and adults.Great first house rental for us!Thanks the Boldyn Family

I would highly recommend renting this property! The house is described accurately in all pictures. You feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere but everything is within minutes. We had a wonderful time. Great place to just relax on the deck or keep busy with area attractions.We hope to go back in the future. Homeowners are great about answering any questions and they respond quickly!

We loved this place!

This is a very nice home located in a cove with a beautiful view of the lake. The home is very clean and sits on a dead end road so there is hardly any traffic. This is a great place for families to spend a week or long weekend. We loved this place and will be repeat visitors. The kids ranging in age from 3-18 had so much fun during the day fishing and swimming right on the waterfront below the house. They also provided lots of DVD's for them to watch in the evening. Our days consisted of relaxing on the patio in the morning, boating & swimming during the day, grilling on the patio, an evening boat ride, watching fireworks from our boat at Indiana Beach, and more fun on the patio at night with a fire burning in the outside fireplace. If that is your idea of a good time you will love this place!
