What I love about Colorado is what I think brings a lot of people here -- it's very laid back, and Denver is just big enough as a city to have culture, restaurants and shopping, but just small enough to be really easy to get around.
I love the mountains -- skiing, hiking, backpacking, mountain and road biking, and am happy to share suggestions about where to go and what to do depending on your interests.
I see no reason to hold 'local's secrets' -- if there is something I can share or help you with to make your stay more enjoyable, I hope I can provide it.
Valerie Jarstad purchased this townhome in 2008
This location is literally in the midst of some of the best restaurants, fitness centers, shopping and cultural attactions (Elitch's Six Flags, Ocean Journey Aquarium, and the Museum of Contemporary Art). I also love the fact that it keeps its neighborhood feel.
A perfect place for a get-away. LolaPlace looks just like the pictures. It is clean and comfortable and the perfect location for walking to lots of nearby restaurants, bars and other attractions. Valerie was so easy to work with. She was responsive to our questions and flexible with our arrival and departure times. We had a great time getting to know Denver and staying at LolaPlace!
My two friends and I had a wonderful visit to Denver. LolaPlace looked just like the pictures. It was clean, comfortable and the perfect location for walking to nearby restaurants, shops and other attractions. Valerie was so nice. She worked with us on our arrival and departure times and was always responsive to our requests. I would definitely go back to LolaPlace!
Lola Place was the perfect get-away home for our visit to Denver. The house looks just like the pictures-it's clean, comfortable and the location is excellent for walking to nearby restuarants and attractions. Valerie responded to our questions quickly and was great to work with. We would definitely stay there again!
We have a week long meeting in Denver each year and Lola Place is perfect for us. Excellent location and easy to get around neighborhood. We had everything we needed and felt at home. Great after a long day.
The only caveat is that the neighborhood is growing and parking is getting challenging sometimes to find at night. But the furthest we had to park was a block away. Not a big deal.
I Did not recommend for 55+ Only because of the steep stairs. They have grip on the tress so we felt quite safe, if you are 55+ and are very sure footed then this would still be fine for you. Beautiful neighborhood. People with small children, note there is a baby gate for use.
We love Lola Place and will continue to stay here as long as it's available.
This was a great stay for our trip to see the Broncos play. Super close to everything!!!
Comfortable place to stay in an exceptional location in the lower highlands of Denver. Easy walk to 16th St. Mall, but also great restaurants and bars right in the immediate neighborhood. The steps are a little steep going to the upstairs bedrooms, but other than that, the accommodations were excellent.
