Campanet Vacation Rental villa

The villa is on the outskirts of Campanet which is an attractive, small town in the north of the island away from all of the noise and crowds on the coast.

The property itself is of an average standard, with the terrace and pool being the most attractive areas. The inside space is actually quite small and the overall impression is of a decent sized 2-3 bedroom property.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is of a good size with ensuite bathroom and, crucially, aircon. The other three rooms are all small and quite cramped with just fans which do not really help in the summer.

Downstairs, there is a kitchen cum living room space, which is quite a nice space but needs updating as it all looks like it was furnished in the 80's and has not been updated since.

Outside, the terrace is nice and airy and the pool and garden are great - the covers for the loungers and chairs are all a bit tired and need replacing but it is a nice space.

The one major thing which did not work during the whole week properly was the hot water. It is on the old bottled gas system but unfortunately the showers upstairs do not produce sufficient flow to fire up the boiler most of the time and when they occasionally did it cut out quite quickly. This simply does not cut it at £1000 per week and needs replacing.

The town itself is small but has everything needed, the bars in the square are good and everyone is very friendly.

Overall, the villa is no more than adequate, it needs some care and attention to bring it up to the standard its price dictates. This would not be major work but I would not stay again at these prices if it is not done.
