Photos and Description of the Altavilla Milicia vacation apartment rental A very short drive from the sea. The pool is in use from 4th April to 31 October

The beautifully tended gardens of the holiday residence, with palm- and olive trees, have several areas, which remain cool and shaded throughout the day. The residence consists of only three villas of which one has been subdivided in two apartments. The apartment is on the ground floor. The pool is in use from the 4th April to 31 October. From the terrace of the pool there is a wide view on the coast. The size of the apartment is about 120 m2. The rooms have air-conditioning. The house consists of a double bedroom, a bathroom, a very big living room with a sofa and two armchairs, a dining table and an open kitchen. There are two comfortable single beds in the living room that can be transformed in a double bed. The beds are partially separated from the rest of the living room by a separé. The owners of the other houses usually stay in the residence in July and August. Therefore the pool will feel pretty much as private during the other months. The residence distance 2 km from a nice beach called “Ombelico di Venere”. On the coast to Palermo (25 km) there are many beaches and fisherman’s villages with restaurants, like Porticello (12 km). Casa Altavilla is in a central location for short hops to Palermo, Cefalù, Monreale, the villas of Bagheria, the Madonie Mountains and the archaeological sites of Segesta and Solunto.

two weeks in a romantic villa

The description was accurate enough,alas a few things.
What we missed most was the fact that there was no radio
or we didn´t find one.The kitchen area was quite "rustic" but
there was a three ring stove.The cuttlery was sufficient for
6 persons but there were no carving knives and only three
wine classes.As Scandinavians we missed also a melita
filter for making coffee but we managed when we found a
proper coffee pot.
The place was occupied by millions of ants but we managed.One thing you should warn future customers is
mosquitoes:you should provide more"mosquito machines"
and tablets for them and mosquito candles outside.
The owner Giuseppe was a pearl-he did all he could in his power.
The only thing we were uncertain was about the sheets
and pillow covers,were they supposed to be changed weekly?Maybe not because they weren´t.
Giuseppe made it possible to have a washing maschine,
which was not mentioned in the facilities.
All in all we had a wonderful time in the villa and we would
recommend it to all our friends.
The nearest village San Nicole has a lot of shops so you don´t have to drive to Altavilla Milicia for shopping.
