BEAUTIFUL AND MODERN APARTMENT IN MALAGA

We spent some great days in this sunny apartment. Very central location, all the touristic places within a very short walk, walking distance to the beach, bus/train station, shops/supermarket. Apartment is very sunny, has all the details one needs to be comfortable and enjoy the time: even the umbrella for the beach (though we missed the bottle opener, think of it if you will be tasting great spanish wine at home:)

In total we stayed 10 days in Spain and Malaga was great starting place. If you have some time I can only suggest the day trip to Cordoba (1h by train), and don’t forget that Granada is just 1,5h drive!

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

We are frequent visitors to Málaga and have used both hotels and apartments over the years. The freedom offered by apartments now makes them our preferred option.

Having travelled in from the airport by train to Málaga Central and then walked to c/Álvarez, we were met at the apartment by Cristina who was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location of this second floor apartment (NB No lift) is excellent and it places you on the edge of the bustling city centre, only minutes away from Plaza Merced in one direction and Plaza de la Constitución in the other. This contemporary styled studio apartment is clean and bright, though small. While the living/kitchen area is quite large enough, the bedroom area is just wide enough to accommodate a bedside table and lamp on one side only. As we always travel with a torch this didn’t create any real problems. Cases etc can only really be stored, in sight, in the corridor leading from the entrance door. The cooking facilities are limited so one should not plan on preparing any elaborate meals. As, apart from breakfast, our preference is to eat out, this was not a problem.

So far as the internal fittings and fixtures are concerned, there were a number of shortcomings: breakfast bowls were chipped, the screws securing the TV wall bracket were coming out of the rawlplugs making the whole thing very precarious (and unsafe), the mess of cables around the back of the TV could easily be tidied somewhat using cable ties, we couldn’t get the DVD player to work – possibly the batteries in the remote needed to be replaced, the glass shelf in the bathroom was tilted downward meaning that one relied on friction to keep items placed on it from sliding off - the addition of a few hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. A blind had been removed, because of damage caused by a leak during recent, heavy, rain but we assume that this and some consequent staining of the plaster will be dealt with in due course. Generally we would say that this apartment would benefit from some TLC and attention to detail from the owner.

Málaga is a wonderful and accessible location for a city break and indeed is doing much to cater for that market. It is a lively and attractive Mediterranean port city offering an enormous variety of eating establishments, museums and monuments such as the Alcazaba.

Already looking forward to our next stay in the city.

GREAT TIME IN MALAGA CITY

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Malaga city, the apartment lived up to expectations and everything was on the doorstep, restaurants entertainment etc. the historic city kept us in awe with the beautiful buildings and shopping centers, we will definitely be back sooner than later we hope, I have no hesitation in recommending the Alvarez apartment, really loved the place.

ALVAREZ APARTMENTS

The apartment is good and location is perfect. Everythere we just walked and everything are reacheble by foot, like central avenue, port, beach, supermarket and etc.
We stay with my wife for a 10 days in the period between Christmas time and New Year celebration. Events in this period are impresive (for example Fiesta Mayor) also weather was perfect. When we left Malaga on 6 Jan outside was so warm and it shows on the thermometers approx. +24°C. Also we had good trip to Granada and to Nerja. For a trip we used bus and it was very convinience. If somebody wish rent a car is not the right place to stay because of the parking problems.
Well, thanks for the owner for well prepared apartment to stay and if my friends wiil go to Malaga I will recomend whem to stay.

Any of our three apartments you choose will be a good choice of location, as all of them are just in the middle of the historic city centre of Malaga and all monuments around. Any of our apartments are less than 450 metres away from each other (please check on website map where you are requiring to stay in)

- Alvarez Street (Alvarez Apartment) is a narrow street belonging to Carreteria Street, a very known street of city, just in the middle of all main attractions of historic of Malaga.

- Alamos Street (where Alamos I&II apartments are) is one of the most famous streets on city. Main attractions of the city (Picasso Museum, The Cathedral, Constitution Square and Larios Street, Cervantes Theatre, La Alcazaba Palace, etc…) are just less than 300 metres away from apartment (please check location on a map). Also, La Malagueta Beach is less than 10 minutes on foot, around 900-1000 metres. Apartments are inside a building with a big patio where street is a few metres away so even you are located in Alamos, apartments are quiet and no noise can be heard from streets around.

Malaga city centre is also very close to beaches, than you can reach walking about 10-14 minutes. Malaga Port is also very near from apartments, less than 1,5 kms.
