We fell in love with the Windsor area and surrounding Russian River Wineries and want to share our home with you.
We love the ability to walk to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner and leave the car safely tucked in the garage.
If you tire of tasting the great Russian River Wines, enjoy the numerous activites available on the river itself. A short drive away is the awesome Bodega Bay, the other direction will take you to the Redwoods.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Your accommodations are very comfortable. The nights were cool so we enjoyed the fireplace several times. The town of Windsor is safe and we enjoyed our daily walks around town. We ate at Tomi Thai, Himalayan, Jaded Toad and Mary's Pizza (delicious!!). The candy shoppe is amazing, especially if you love vintage candies and gelato. We did a tasting in the Windsor wine tasting room and enjoyed the experience. Of course, we spent our days wine tasting in both Sonoma and Napa. The unit is located in the perfect location.
The condo was clean and comfortable. We so appreciated the little things which were provided - ample toilet paper and paper towels, garbage bags, coffee filters, etc. Often when we rent houses/condos we have to buy these items and then leave most of them there when our trip is over. Windsor is a great small town and is very convenient to area wineries and dining. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone heading to wine country.
That being said, I would caution anyone who plans to use the den as a sleeping area. The den is on the lower level and feels completely separated from the rest of the house (definitely not an area for a child). In addition, the lower level is FREEZING in the colder months. All the heat rises and leaves nothing downstairs for anyone sleeping in the den. When the weather is cold, this room cannot be used at all due to the lack of heat.
The other item which was frustrating for us was that there was no dvd player for the living room tv. The basic cable channels were extremely limited as well. We were told that we could access our Netflix accout on the tv (supposedly a smart tv) but the internet access to the tv did not function. We did have the property manager try to fix it but no resolution was ever found. Normally this would not be a major concern for us but we had a child with us and there was only one channel on the tv appropriate for a child.
These are minor issues and certainly did not detract from our overall impression of the condo. If ever in the area again we would certainly rent here again without hesitation.
Perfect location for walking to restaurants and shops in charming Windsor AND to launch for day trips to Bodega Bay, wine country in Healdsburg and Sonoma. The gracious owner provided everything we needed for a relaxing visit. We would stay again if back in the area! Note: three levels so caution if you have issues climbing stairs. It didn't bother us at all and we were aware when reserving.
A peaceful relaxing retreat for family to gather while in the area for our nephews wedding. The condo met all of our needs as fas as space and is very nicely appointed. There is plenty of room in the kitchen to prep meals and room to spread out on the main floor. The location was perfect and with dining and shops within walking distance, we could not have asked for more. Windsor is a quaint town with lots of charm.
We stayed 3 nights at this 2 bedroom townhome in Windsor. At first we were concerned that there might be some noise from the neighbors, but it was very quiet, even with the windows open at night. The home was fairly new construction and very clean and comfortable. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. At first we had trouble logging on to the WIFI, but called the owner and she got us straightened out with the correct password. Windsor is a cute little town with good dining opportunities within walking distance.
We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It is conveniently located to the Square. The owner was extremely helpful when we encountered a problem. Would stay there again. However, should be noted this is a unit with three sets of stairs!
This is a charming, modern, well decorated, well stocked, very clean and cared for two bedroom condo. The location is within walking distance of a few restaurants, a small grocery store, and a few shops. It is a short drive to many wineries. The downside would be the stairs, one flight up from garage and one flight up to bedrooms, so not good if stairs are not easy for you. And the bed pillows were hard on the neck. We would rent again if we came back here.
