Photos and Description of the Bryan - College Station vacation house rental
House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7-9)

This historic home, built for Sim and Ruby Cooper in 1906, is located near downtown Bryan and is only a short drive to Texas A&M University (6 miles to Kyle Field). The home was the personal residence of an Architect for 15 years and it has been completely restored and updated.

The house has approximately 3,300 square feet of living space with high ceilings, large arches, and many large functioning windows. It has a large well-equipped kitchen, a large family room with an HD TV, a formal dining room, a breakfast area, a parlor and a formal living room. All of the floors are hardwood and many of the furnishings are antiques.

All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor, but there is queen sofa-sleeper on the first floor. Upstairs, one bedroom has twin beds, the master has a queen bed, and the other has a double bed and built-in office/workspace. An additional room upstairs off the master bedroom can be used as a dressing area, playroom or additional bedroom; it is furnished with a twin day bed. This room does not have direct access from the hallway and can only be entered through the master bedroom or another bedroom. The office/workspace has a built-in workstation (computer not provided) and lots of natural light from the windows on three sides. Downstairs in the original living room (which can be easily closed off from the rest of the house) is a queen sleeper sofa.

There is one bathroom upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. Each bathroom has a tub and shower. The bedrooms do not have private bathrooms. The bathrooms are not handicap accessible.

The large fenced yard includes a 6-8 person hot-tub, large patio and a covered porch. There is off-street parking for up to four cars and on street parking on a wide street in front.

Pets will be considered on a case by case basis.

The home is well designed for entertaining and social events. It can be rented for retreats, parties, reunions, football weekends, etc. Additional charges will apply for these events.

We request that you noify us in advance if you will be entertaining more than 10 people while you are here.

Please keep in mind that this home was built before modern air conditioning was available. Although it has been fitted with two central air-conditioning units (one for each floor), when the temperature rises above 100 degrees for an extended time - the units will keep the house comfortable, but not cold.

About The Owner

We are professionals that live and work in the B/CS area. Our office is just a few blocks away and we are available by phone, text or email if you should have any questions or encounter any problems.

The Owner purchased this house in 1996
Why The Owner chose Bryan - College Station

This home was our personal residence for 15 years. Shortly after completing the last of the restoring and landscaping, we purchased another home and moved. This is a very comfortable house and we loved living here. We miss the convenience of walking to the farmer's market, shops, entertainment and restaurants in downtown Bryan.

What makes this house unique

Downtown Bryan is just a few blocks away. There you can find local restaurants, shopping, live theater, live music, and bars. Check the City of Bryan calendar for festivals and First Friday events. On Saturday mornings you can visit the Brazos Valley Farmers Market a short three block walk away. Just two blocks away is Sue Haswell Memorial park with tennis courts, a playground, 3 pavilions that can be rented from the City of Bryan, horseshoe courts, sand volleyball court, basketball court, and other amenities.

This house shows very nicely in the pictures, which may not completely do it justice. It is lovely, and very large. Very nice architectural features and updates which make it enjoyable to live in and functional at the same time. It accommodated our group of 8 adults and 3 dogs very well. The outside area was perfect with hot tub and firepit as bonuses. The owners communicated well and made the process of getting in and out easy.

We loved this house! It was very spacious and comfortable in every way. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax in several different dining and sitting rooms and yet still be together.

The house is a beautiful restoration and has lovely furnishings. It is just a short drive from campus in a nice neighborhood. You and your family will not go wrong choosing this place to stay when you go to CStat.. It is so much better than a hotel.

The owner is great and very easy to work with. We will be back!

Amazing House

We visited for an A&M football game and our stay was great! First off, the house is HUGE. At times it felt like we got lost trying to walk around. The temperature was never an issue even though we were warned it might get a little warm because the house is older. The drive to campus was not that far. Never had any issues communicating with the owners. Would stay again.

Recently, my brother and I and our spouses hosted our cousins and their
spouses at this lovely home for our annual reunion. The spacious rooms,
comfortable furnishings and ample kitchen/butler's pantry contributed
beautifully to our fun and fellowship. The owners do a fantastic job
of maintaining this house and its grounds. The house is ideal for a group;
it is easily accessed from major highways and streets. Everything was
comfortable, clean and tidy; I highly recommend this property. Surely, you
will enjoy your stay here, too!

This is the nicest house I've ever stayed in. It is beautiful inside and out and is gorgeously decorated. Elise is a great host. When I arrived the key wasn't working so she came over right away to replace it. The hot tub is wonderful and the whole place is really, really impressive. Can't recommend it enough.
