A 4 bedroom Gite that will sleep 6 people. Fully equipped with modern appliances and access to the internet via wifi. This was part of an old apple farm and the orchard is still here. Guests have the use of a private pool and barbecue. The living/dining area lends itself to real family living with a TV and sound system and a good choice of board and card games. Droux is in the heart of the beautiful Haute Vienne and is a peaceful village with a lively cafe bar. Although in the heart of France you will be a short drive from the beach resort of St Pardoux. The famous porcelain town of Limoges is just 30 minutes away as is the international airport. This part of France boasts some of the best countryside and beautiful rivers. There's opportunity for all water sports, cycling, walking, and outward bound activities. There are many good restaurants and visitor attractions.

Nearest ferry:   Caen at 424 Kilometres
Nearest train:   Bellac at 12 Kilometres
Nearest motorway:   A20 J23 at 18 Kilometres
Nearest beach:   beach at 15.0 Kilometres
Car: necessary

Droux is 15 minutes from St Pardoux boasting 3 beaches and numerous water sports. The village has a cafe bar and just 8km away is Le Dorat where you can find some good restaurants. The nearest supermarket is in Magnac Laval 5km away. Limoges is a 30 minute car drive where there are good shops restaurants and tourist attractions. Oradour-sur-Glane is about a 25 minute drive where a visitor centre depicts the events of the last war. Close by is the Monkey Park and also a Reptile Park. In Poitiers is Futurescope - a must for the kids (and big kids too!). Part of the Limousin was ruled by the English in medieval times and there are castles and chateaux well worth a visit that tell the story of these times.
