Photos and Description of the Wiltshire vacation rental Four character cottages with level access and wetrooms. Each sleeping 4 +2.

The four cottages were renovated with luxury and comfort in mind. Originally the Barns and Stables of one of the oldest farms in the village of Poulshot, dating back to the 17th century. All the cottages have been awarded a 4 star rating by the English Tourist Board. Devizes (approx 2 miles) is a historic market town with over 500 listed buildings, offering a choice of shops, restaurants, pubs and canal side activities, with the Kennet and Avon canal and the famous Caen Hill flight of 29 locks. Close to Bath, Stonehenge, Avebury, Silbury Hill and the picturesque National Trust Village of Lacock (which is regularly used for filming!). Higher Green Farm is well placed to offer a wide range of attractions and activities either on the doorstep or just a short journey away. Ramblers have a choice of excellent walks from the doorstep. Activities such as clay pigeon shooting, canal boat hire and hot air baloon rides or health and beauty treatments are all available locally.

Poulshot has it's own peaceful village pub offering excellent food and traditional cask ales. Devizes itself is overlooked by Roundway Hill, scene of a major Civil War battle and a short drive will bring you to the World Heritage Sites of Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill - amongst the world's most important prehistoric locations. The stunning Georgian city of Bath with it's famous Roman baths and new Thermae Spa and Salisbury with it's beautiful cathedral are both within easy reach. With Logleat Safari Park, the stately home of Bowood House, the gardens of Stourhead and the beautiful villages of Lacock and Castle Coombe all nearby, the local area can cater for all taste

There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine (located across the courtyard in The Old Dairy) The sunny private courtyard is very peaceful and adjacent to the largest village green in Wiltshire. Electricity and full oil central heating. Wood burning stove (initial fuel incl, thereafter available at cost) Parking (for 1 car). TV (with freeview) DVD, Radio/CD, Microwave, dishwasher. Linen and towels included. Secure cycle store. Easy walking access. No smoking permitted inside cottages. 1 dog by arrangement. WiFi internet access in all cottages. There is level access throughout, all doorways are wide and there is a wetroom in each of the cottages as well as a family bathroom.

I arranged to take my parents away over the bank holiday, and we had a fantastic weekend with lots of barbeques and watched a few great movies. The log fire gave it that extra touch of being so warm and homely. Thanks, it was most enjoyable.
