: Sitges centre
Car: not necessary
Sitges has a dozen beautiful beaches and the typical vibrant night-life (gay & straight) of a resort. But it also has a privileged place in Catalan culture. For generations it was the chosen getaway for Barcelona's bourgeoisie and this can still be seen in some of the lovely architecture.
Many water sports are available in Sitges. The unique national park (with protected wildlife and plant life) borders Sitges from the North and West and is reached in 3 mins by car. Highly recommended for stunning walks & hikes in the hills.
Barcelona is only 30 mins away by the excellent train service (4 trains an hour). The city offers museums, galleries, restaurants, cinemas, cutting-edge design & shopping, zoo, aquarium & concerts.
The 2 theme parks Port Aventura and Aqualeon (a water & safari park) are under an hour from Sitges.
Eating out is varied - there is Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese and English.
SItges is perfect for families, romantic breaks or cultural visits.
