The home is located less than 2 1/2 blocks from one of the finest beaches you will find on the East Coast. Unlike most in New Jersey it is 'FREE'! Also within 2 blocks is our famed boardwalk that aligns our beach for a two mile stretch. The boardwalk is home to Morey's Pier, located literally down the street from this home, Mariner's Landing and Adventure Pier offer the best in amusement rides and two giant waterparks. The boardwalk is lined with shops and eateries to satisfy all. In the morning the boardwalk is a Mecca for bike riders both young and old. Don't worry about packing your bikes cause there are plenty of bike rental shops with an array of bikes to fit everyone's needs.
If the beach and waterpark are not for you, there are several marinas where you can rent boats and jet skis and will also equip you for anything from fishing to parasailing and everything in between.
Sightseeing boats, both fast or leisurely, have tours throughout the day and evening. We have various fishing 'head' boats with trips ranging from 4 to 8 hours as well as night fishing, If big game fish is your desire, there are many private charter boats with knowledgeable captains that can take you where the fish are biting!.
Everything becomes an attraction in the Wildwoods. In 2005 the Army Corps of Engineers extended and improved the existing sea wall, made of giant boulders, protecting our Northern Shore line. Not long after the city capped the jagged boulders with 18 inches of concrete. In doing so, they created the most pleasant 1.25 mile walkway imaginable along the Atlantic Ocean along with some real hot spots for anglers which to fish. The sea wall is the ideal spot to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic. You can access the historic Hereford Light House and its beautiful gardens, yet another 'free' attraction from the sea wall. The sea wall also makes its way by the Amphitheater where quality acts can be seen free of charge, twice weekly during the Summer.
If it is the night life that attracts you, we have that too. The Bar District houses several clubs that offer nightly live entertainment and quality restaurants which to dine. The Bar District also plays host to various festivals, most notably the Irish Fest and State Barbeque Fest.
For the golf enthusiast, there are two par 3 courses and five regulation courses all within a 20 minute or less ride. There are also plenty of miniature golf courses for the whole family to enjoy.
Should you want to venture away from our island, Cape May is just South. Here you will feel like you stepped back in time with its narrow streets, lined with impressive Victorian homes, Dinner and a horse drawn carriage ride makes for quite the romantic evening if you can break away from the kids. Or perhaps you prefer the fast action of the casinos and entertainment venues in Atlantic City. It is just a 30 mile ride up the parkway.
Most would agree that the Jersey Shore is the place to be in the Summer and we contend that North Wildwood represents the best of the Jersey Shore,
We hope to see you this Summer!
