The romantic and peaceful five-star holiday apartments are unique accommodations and are located in a premium constructional landmark in Saarburg's top location, rococo house by a waterfall built in 1760 by the last owner and later mayor Napoleon. Exactly where Victor Hugo said excitedly: in the heart of the historical old city, directly by a waterfall with a wonderful view of the river valley and vineyards. From the stylishly furnished house where you will find a lot of original pieces like the staircase, doors, parquet floors and fireplace that have the flair of the 18th Century, you will find the river shore only 2 minutes away where the excursion ships also anchor and the nature park Saarbug begins. Only 25 km away to the grand duchy of Luxembourg or to Trier, the oldest city in Germany . THe house was distinguished with the monument prize of the area of Trier - Saarburg.

The apartment 'Victor Hugo' is located on the second floor above the apartment Bel étage.. It offers an elegant and cosy salon with an original rococo fireplace corner from the 18th century, original doors and a cosy sofa for 4 people (also for comfortable laying). Furthermore, there is a large bedroom with a double bed (1.80x2m) and a small, very charming reading and writing corner with a comfortable sofa bed (fold out from 1.40 x 2m). The parlor is separated only through drapes and a room divider from the large bedroom (see photo right). With the available, fitting cabinet it is possible to completely close the passage additionally. The apartment is ideal for 2-3 adults or 2 adults and 1-2 children. The kitchen has a large, stylish and romantic dining corner. Oak floors in all rooms. Luxury bathroom with a bathtub and a shower.

The Rococo house by the waterfall is located in Saarburg's most attractive location, exactly where Victor Hugo was in love: 'Saarburg, wonderfully located city... when you come out of the church, a wonderful gorge, powerful waterfall of the Leuck that goes down 60 feet between stunning houses. Amazing and ...' Everything that the poets have seen, like the natural theme of waterfalls in the middle of the historical old city remained nearly unchanged and touristic attractions have remained. Directly nearby the house you will find vineyards, all shopping facilities, good restaurants, swimming pools, mill museum, castle ruins, bell making factory, chair lift with summer toboggan run. A few minute walk away: marina, tennis court, rowing club and train station. Saarburg, the touristic highlight of the Saar-Obermosel, is also very popular with hikers and cyclists.

If you want luxury, modern bathroom, enormous comfortable bed and lots of space, baroque charm (or should that be rococo charm) and a really attentive host, this is the place for you.

Saarburg is pretty and pleantly touristy, and the country round about is beautiful. We agree entirely with Nick and Isobel.

My wife and our baby son had a wonderful holiday in Saarburg, staying at the flat Victor Hugo. On arriving we were greeted and warmly welcomed by Mrs Laborenz-Huber, who showed us to this beautifully decorated period flat, which combines antique furniture with modern and new facilities. After such a long car journey from Calais, it was wonderful to be greeted with fresh tea and cakes, and the fridge was stocked with food that we used throughout the week. Our week was really made by Dagmar's friendliness, care and attention to detail.

And the view is superb - you are right in the centre of town and open the window to the sound of gushing water from the waterfall.

The area of Saarburg is a great place to stay - not only is the town very pretty but so is the surrounding region. I'd certainly recommend spending a day on a boat trip down the Mosel. And you can easily get to France and Luxembourg too if you want to venture further afield.

In summary - we had a great week, the accommodation was fantastic and we really enjoyed exploring the area.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Haus mehr als genossen.
Wir waren begeistert:
- von der Gastgeberin und ihrem Gatten, die uns wunderbar empfangen und betreut haben, uns mit allem Möglichen verwöhnten und uns sehr gute Tipps rund um Kultur, Ausflugsziele, Kulinarisches etc. gaben.
- vom Ambiente des Hauses und der Wohnung: Wunderschön und sehr komfortabel eingerichtet. In jedem der Räume fühlt man sich wohl und kann wunderbar entspannen.
- von der Lage des Hauses: Direkt in der Altstadt und am Wasserfall. Idealer Standort für die Erkundung der Stadt mit all ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten und für Ausflüge in die Umgebung im "Dreiländereck" .
- vom Urlaubswert der Wohnung und der Stadt an und für sich: Romantisch, komfortabel, zentrale, lebendige Lage und doch ruhig. Wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt für aktive oder gemütliche Touren.
