Our three bedroom villa is situated on Fairway Oaks at Hudson, a residential area on the West (Gulf Coast) of Florida. Using the Sun Coast Parkway it is an easy 35 minute drive from Tampa airport. The villa is ideally suited as a holiday home with access to the best of Florida's Gulf Coast; the renowned white, sandy beaches are within easy reach as are the cities of Tampa, Clearwater, St Petersburg and Homosassa Springs for the manatees. The rear of the villa faces West and the pool area benefits from the sun from mid morning until late into the evening. The pool deck area overlooks the 15th tee of the 'The Links' golf course providing entertainment on most days. The golf course is open to the public and fees are very reasonable. Golf, beaches, boating, fishing, shopping; this area has it all. Golf is on the doorstep; the villa overlooks the 15th tee! The villa is in close proximity to the renowned beaches of Florida's Gulf Coast. The nearest beach is about ten minutes away and there is an abundant choice of beaches (Honeymoon Island, Fred Howard Park, Clearwater) within about a 30 minute drive. When it comes to shopping there is plenty of choice. The Gulf Square Mall is about 15 minutes away and if you want to move 'up market' then there are the Citrus Park and International Designer malls just north of Tampa. For something different Busch Gardens with its white knuckle roller coaster rides and animal park is 45 minutes away, as is Adventure Island water park. Tampa and St Petersburg also make for a good afternoon out. Tarpon Springs with its sponge docks and Homosassa Springs with the manatees are close by. Ruth Eckerd theatre at Tampa hosts many touring shows.

Notes: The lounge, with quality leather sofas providing comfortable seating for six, overlooks the pool area. High Definition cable television and DVD player are provided. In addition, there is a formal dining area with six place settings. The kitchen has a breakfast seating area and all the appliances and utensils you will need. There is also a dishwasher. A separate utility area houses the washing machine and tumble drier. The villa is fully air conditioned with cooling fans in all rooms and the lanai. Shops are 5 minutes away (Publix) and the nearest mall about 15 minutes away. Wireless Internet and free phone calls within the USA and Canada. The pool area has the traditional Floridian cage and solar panels heat the pool and allow it to be used for the greater part of the year. There is a shaded area and seating for six for 'al fresco' dining and a dedicated sunbathing area with sun loungers. The pool faces west and has the sun from mid morning until sunset.

There are plenty of local opportunities for boating and fishing. In season you might want to pay a visit to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium to watch a game of American football.

We have just returned from 2 weeks staying in the Villa. The Villa is a perfect base for a wonderful holiday in Florida. It is equipped to a high standard with everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. Also, it has a covered outdoor area which we used extensively for eating our meals. It is so nice to sit out and eat in the warm weather. Also, the pool is a really nice size (not the usual plunge pool) and the kids spent hours in the water. It has a great location being right on the golf course as the golfers provide a great deal of amusement!! There is also a very good supermarket near by which has everything you need and a Wal Mart a short drive away. When eating out, the ribs at Pit Boss BarBQ and the filet steak at Longhorns Steakhouse are truely "to die for". Catches Seafood Restaurant and Sams Bar are also highly recommended. Having a drink and grande nachos at Sam's Bar whilst watching the most glorious sunsets is well worth it. A must see are the Manatees at Homosassa Springs - you will be amazed.

Fantastic Villa

We had a great holiday at this fantastic villa. Located in a quiet residential area, it's very well maintained and is equipped to a very high standard, including an excellent swimming pool. Close to a wide range of shops and restaurants and the superb Gulf Coast Beaches are within easy reach. Thoroughly recommended.

A great getaway

My husband and I have visited your villa a number of times. We have always found it to be clean, spacious and well equipped, and a bolthole away from the real world. Perfectly located for a (long) day trip to orlando, it also offers a fantastic base to discover Florida's gulf coast.

The directions to the villa are straightforward to follow, and after a long flight, much appreciated.

We most recently visited over Christmas, and enjoyed swimming in the heated pool on Christmas day, and watching the golfers tee off. We also found plenty of fantastic shopping, and some slightly more cultural experiences such as the Dali Museum, the Florida Aquarium and the Holocaust Museum. The most recent renovations have made the villa even better (HD TV especially appreciated).

Brian and Ann have a beautiful home, perfect for vacations, and it is always a pleasure to stay there. I would wholeheartedly recommend the property to anyone else wishing to stay in the area. We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit, and look forward to returning again soon.
