Beautiful Villa

My stay at this property was very pleasant and enjoyable. The home is more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The rooms are well spread out for privacy. EAch room had their own individual bathroom which was very nice not to have to share. We took advantage of the halfday housekeeping services and 2-cooked meals a day (purchased own groceries) for a group of 8 of us for an additional cost. The hotel and resort is remote, but the resort itself has nice ammenties such as great beaches, shops, excursions, and restaurants. If your on a budget, you can always buy your groceries and cook for yourself. There is a market not too far from the resort to purchase groceries by either taxi or bus. The bus cost about $1 and you can virtualy take the bus anywhere. My friends and I took the bus into Bavaro, which was like a 45min bus ride to go shopping for souveniers and other good stuff. You can always take a taxi to any of these places, but cost an average of $40-$60 depending on distance and the number of people. The villa didn't offer a golf cart, and there were none for us to rent during our stay at the resort, but if possible I highly recommend a golf cart to get around the resort and possibily see if it can be reserved in advanced. However, if you choose to walk there is a beach that is about a 10min walk from left leaving the villa-you should encounter a pathway. All other beaches are about approximately 20min walk from the villa. Punta cana hotel on the resort has more excursions and more reasonable restaurant prices. Also, if possible, reserving a car in advance at the airport would be a good idea, it eliminates the cost of taxi's and or waiting to ride the buses. Tortuga bay is a private resort and secure.
