MAJESTIC MOUNTAIN HOME ADJACENT TO LAKE, RIVER & NAT'L PARK

Grand Lake House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 8-13)

Spend your vacation or holidays enjoying the Magic of Rocky Mountain National Park and the Three Lakes area within an easy walk from this home located in the Arapahoe National Recreation Area. Enjoy the beauty and majesty of the Rocky Mountains and Grand Lake just outside your door from this newer, beautiful mountain home next to Shadow Mountain Lake and the Rocky Mountain National Park with panoramic views the mountains.

Maximize your time outdoors on the lake with the canoe and 3 Kayaks included for family fun on the water or by taking in the spectacular mountain vistas and wildlife from the many upper and lower decks. Or spend a lazy afternoon lounging on the hammock while reading your favorite novel. And don't forget to make s'mores in the campfire pit. In Winter, nestle up on the couch with your favorite book or read a story to your family as the gas fireplace glows with warmth as the snow gently falls outside the windows.

We are just four minutes from the town of Grand Lake and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Grand Lake provides a classic 'old west' town ambiance and fun for the whole family. From there you can enjoy the shops, restaurants, mini-golf, guided horseback riding, guided and unguided snowmobile and ATV rentals, go-carts, bumper boats and more.

Rocky Mountain National Park is home to an abundant wildlife population including elk, deer, moose, bears, porcupines and foxes (many of these pass through the rental property as well). Miles of hiking and snowshoeing trails are accessible from the home as well as access to the National Park and the Arapahoe National Recreation area.

Trail Ridge Marina is just down the road and offers pontoon and sport-boat rentals. For the adventurous, you can also snowmobile across the lakes in the winter! Book early as this is a year round vacation rental and books full and fast each season. There is no better place to spend the holidays than in the mountains of Colorado.

A WONDERFUL GETAWAY

  • 5 of 5
I was a little skeptical of what we would walk into when we arrived but this place well exceeded our expectations! It was warm, clean, and fully stocked. There was tons of room and the perfect location for four couples. We enjoyed the snow shoes and sleds provided in the garage. We found all of the kitchen supplies we needed. And the entire place felt very "magical" :) Thanks for a great stay!

WONDERFUL HOME AND LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
Our family gathered for our annual fall visit to Colorado and decided to spend our time in Grand Lake. What a good choice we made! The area was beautiful, aspens were in full glory, and we had a great time. The home was also wonderful - well equipped, beautifully decorated, very spacious yet very cozy. We used the canoe and had fun on the lake. The location is very convenient to the lake, to town, and to RMNP. My son coordinated our stay and he talked with both the manager and the owner and said both were very cordial and helpful. We are looking forward to coming here again for another fall gathering in the future.

GREAT HOUSE AND GOOD LOCATION TO EXPLORE RMNP AND ARAPAHO NATIONAL FOREST

  • 5 of 5
We loved this house! The living spaces, master bedroom, kitchen and outdoor spaces are great. Sitting on the decks watching the osprey, chipmunks and fox was a lot of fun. We had everything we needed in the kitchen as well as a grill and outdoor table. There is plenty of room for a large family or several couples. We would stay here again!

BEAUTIFUL, SCENIC RETREAT!

  • 5 of 5
We have been visiting Grand Lake for years, and love what the town and surrounding areas have to offer. No matter what the season, you can’t run out of things to do.

This home is a great find for a mountain getaway. We visited during the winter, but with the national forest and Shadow Mountain lake within walking distance, it would be perfect year round. The home itself is cozy and inviting, with beautiful views of the mountains and forest. Enjoyed some snowshoeing and snowmobiling into town. Took full advantage to cuddle up in front of the fire and relax. So peaceful. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

SNOWY VACATION IN THE WOODS!

  • 5 of 5
Ok, so why have I not heard about Grand Lake till now!! Have lived in the Denver area for going on 16 years, but it was my first time to Grand Lake. Fabulous home and deceptively large - you'd never guess from the outside. Lots of different places for us to hang out - adults in one space / kids in another - TV watchers in one room and readers / nappers in the other. Love to cook, so the well-stocked kitchen was appreciated - also the large dining table and adjacent seating at the bar - worked well for our group of adults and youngsters. Although we were out and about most of the time - skiing at Sol Vista and visiting shops in charming downtown Grand Lake, really enjoyed the location in the woods. Cool when we were seated around the fireplace one afternoon, could watch the snow falling on the pines that surround the house. Kind of like camping except WAY better!! Highly recommend this house. Nice, comfy furniture, great kitchen - appreciated the garage and great location. Totally expect to come back here in the summer. There are 3 lakes here - who knew!!
