Guestbook comments from the owner
This was the perfect place to celebrate Valentine's Day and a long weekend. It was so cozy and a wonderful little retreat. Much better than a condo like you said! Many thanks again for your warm hospitality and recommendations!

My Husband and I both grew up in the Flathead Valley, and moved back after our college education to raise a family in Columbia Falls.

We enjoy getting out and exploring this beautiful place we live every chance we get.

Kristi Hatfield purchased this bungalow in 2008

We purchased this property to provide visitors to the Flathead a quiet and peaceful place to stay that is close to nature and centrally located to the airport, train station and Glacier Park. Columbia Falls is a friendly community and the Gateway to Glacier.

We are outdoor enthusiasts and happy to share our favorite places to visit and explore- whether it be bird watching, fishing or hiking in the Park and nearby National Forest trails.

NEW, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, CENTRALLY LOCATED

  • 5 of 5
Stayed here to visit family over holidays - perfect set up for a couple, imagine would also work great with a couple of kids (two legged and/or four legged). Nicely furnished, linens and furniture are new. Great location which made for easy walks to the river and town, and short drives to everything in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

GREAT PLACE TO VISIT GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

  • 4 of 5
This bungalow is recently renovated and very clean. Perfect for a couple. The deck on the back is a good size with a table, umbrella, 4 chairs and a gas grill. The park near them is a nice stroll to the Flathead River. There is a bike path 1 block away. Within walking distance of the place is Three Girls Grill which was amazing for dinner. Further away is the Pallette Cafe for very good lunch spot. They also serve breakfast, but we did not eat breakfast there. The place is easy to get the west entrance of Glacier

Owner's Response: Terry,
I am glad to hear you found some of our great restaurant hot spots. The city of Columbia Falls is going to be extending the bike path to access the park soon, so the bike path will be much closer to our vacation rental. Thank you for your positive feedback. I hope you will return to our place again on your next visit to Glacier Park.
Best Regards,

LITTLE BUNGALOW

  • 4 of 5
This was a perfect place for my husband & I. It had everything that you would need for a place to stay. It was so comfortable, we felt like we were living @ home. It also was an ideal location for us to visit with family as well as sightseeing. You are close to grocery store's, the downtown area, & within walking distance to a coffee shop called 'Coffee Traders'. A great place to get a cup of coffee, breakfast or lunch if you choose to go out. You are also close to many places to see & visit like Glacier National Park, Big Mountain, Flathead Lake, Whitefish, Bigfork, Kalispell & Lakeside just to name a few. No matter what you choose to do whether it be sightseeing, hiking, water activities, or just relaxing this is an ideal place to stay. My husband & I enjoyed staying here for all of the conveniences, but most of all this place made us feel at home. We definitely will stay here again on another visit. I would highly recommend this place.

GLACIER GETAWAY

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I had a great Glacier visit and this bungalow made the trip that much better. We were thrilled to find the property in great condition, clean, and had everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, the kitchen had every utensil we could ask for, there were plenty of towels, the bed was comfy and the house was just the right size. We enjoyed using the BBQ and relaxing on the deck after a day of hiking in Glacier. If you're a couple looking for a comfy quiet spot to base your trip from, then this fits the bill.

COZY HOME IN COLUMBIA FALLS

  • 4 of 5
My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights here it was very enjoyable and comfortable! Comfortable bed and bedding and everything you need to cook your own meals! The only thing I would have liked to see is air conditioning as it was quite hot still at night and a fire pit would have really made this place 10/10. Overall I would rate it 8.5/10. Good bang for your buck for sure!
Glacier park is a short drive away, the river is about a ten minute walk. Very central place!

Owner's Response: Alana,
We have installed central air conditioning. Your next stay with us will be cool and relaxing during the hot summer nights.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and visit to Glacier Park. Thank you for your recommendations. It has been a very hot summer! We are going to put air conditioning in as our next upgrade. The fire pit is a great idea and we will look into that soon!
I'm glad that we were able to accommodate you with a later check-out for your stay due to your problems at the border crossing. I hope you will schedule another stay with us soon.

NICE RENTAL - EXCELLENT LOCATION

  • 4 of 5
Very nice rental - excellent location for exploring Glacier National Park 15 miles from the entrance to the park.

Appears to be a very recent and a floor to ceiling complete remodel. Lots of nice things..... satellite, flat screen, Internet, towels, dishes, silverware, gas grille, deck w/table/umbrella, fridge, range, ceiling fan, extra box fan, nice floors, washer/dryer, WIFI Internet, plus lots of nice little things that you didn't know you would need are there for your use. Owners are obviously trying hard to please their guests.

Would have given 5 stars except for three things.

1. Was not air-conditioned and until I discovered the cool setting on the thermostat did nothing (and I opened up all the windows overnight) it was a bit over 80 degrees in the property (in early July).

2. Bed was one of the ultra-soft ones and at 6"4" 250lbs, I sank pretty deep. But I'm sure it is just fine for those who like soft beds.

3. Internet service was erratic and quite slow. Not the owner's fault I assume.

I would stay there again.

Owner's Response: We have now installed central air conditioning! Our rental will be cool and inviting on those hot summer days and nights! Thank you for the suggestion!

We are glad you enjoyed our rental and exploring Glacier National Park. Thank you for your feedback on the internet problems. We were able to get it repaired and it is now operating smoothly again.
Air conditioning is our next upgrade. We are not used to such hot summers here in the Flathead Valley. Thankfully it still cools off at night. We hope you were able to enjoy the River's Edge city park, the Flathead river and many nearby lakes and reservoirs.
Thanks again and we look forward to your next stay with us.
