This smart new upper 4-star ski-in chalet sleeps 6/7. Chalet Venus is a cosy recently renovated chalet apartment with a warm wood fireplace and a sunny terrace with a great matterhorn view. The chalet is conveniently situated close to the Sunnegga Express base lift station which is a 2 minute walk away. The hotel Christiania, which has the biggest swimming pool in Zermatt, is next door, as is a very handy corner-shop and a café-restaurant. The chalet consists of 3 double bedrooms with two bathrooms: one en-suite with Jacuzzi bath/shower/wc, one with shower/wc. All the beds can be configured as doubles or twins. The sunny and spacious living room with its cosy wood fireplace also has a flat screen TV/DVD and a beautiful teak dinning room table that can extend to seat up to 8 people. The large separate kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, hob and fridge freezer. A hatch window connects it to the dining area. A large wrap-around balcony with a spectacular view of the Matterhorn.

Notes: This chalet is situated is 200m from the Sunnegga Express lift station, just 4 min walk from the shops and the high street. Subject to snow conditions intermediate to advanced skiers may ski to within 300m of the chalet. This property has just been newly redecorated in autumn 2007. It has been tastefully decorated by our interior designers who have created a delicate mix of old and new with a traditional and cosy feel.

Ski: Zermatt has 3 main interconnected ski areas (200kms of runs) of its own and is also linked to Cervinia in Italy (another 200kms of runs), together these make up the 'Matterhorn Ski Paradise', one of the most exciting ski areas in Europe. The mix of runs is great, scenery is breathtaking, off-piste possibilities are excellent (depending on conditions) and mountain restaurants and apres-ski are exceptional. The highest lift is at over 3800m giving a vertical drop of over 2200m, snow on the upper runs is guaranteed all year round including in summer! You may order your ski-pass in advance through Mountain Exposure, it will be waiting for you when you get there and won't cost you a penny more! No need to join the new arrival queues at the ticket office... A number of key runs benefit from extensive snow-making equipment to boost snow conditions as needed. Zermatt also has its own terrain park, board-a-cross, half pipe and cross-country circuit.
