Description of the Waimea - Kamuela vacation cottage rental
Two 1BR/1BA cottages located on opposite sides of same property - each with own driveways and independent of each other for privacy in peaceful, safe and scenic surroundings - with no public-drive-through street traffic. Our guests are families (young and older), couples, seniors, honeymooners, Hawaii 'newbies' and Hawaii lovers.
Outdoor sitting affords lovely views of Mauna Kea Summit, Kohala mountain, in a peaceful setting with pineapple plants, banana & papaya plants, oleanders, palms, bougainvilleas and sunsets. We happily share our garden fruit with our guests.

Hale Plumeria Cottage has 1 bedroom (queen-size Select-Comfort (sleep number) adjustable bed) + comfortable queen-size pull-out sofa bed in the living area. Kitchens are fully-equipped with everything you could possibly need; baths are fully-stocked with ample towels and bath products. Nothing for you to buy except your groceries. Aloha Vacation Cottages are located in the South Kohala District, better known as the Big Island's *Gold Coast* . Our location is in between the beaches of the Kohala Coast and the town of Waimea in the Kamuela area...4 miles outside of the town, on the dry (rainless), sunny side of the island. A quick 10-minute drive gets you to the coastline...and 10 minutes in the opposite direction is the little village of Waimea for shopping and culture where you'll find everything from groceries to antiques. Closest beaches a few minutes away: Hapuna State Beach Park, Mauna Kea Beach, Puako's seaside with Beach 69, Wailea Bay, and Spencer Beach Park. A few minutes more gets you to Waikoloa's A-Bay, the Kings Shops and the Queen's Marketplace, ancient petroglyphs, ancient fish ponds, hiking trails. An easy, scenic drive gets you to Waipio Valley, Hawi town, Kapa'a town, Polu'u Valley. Hilo is just 1 hour + 15 minutes away and is the shortest route from your cottage to Volcano National Park.
